hi HIVERS! a big thanks to @indayclara and @ybanezkim26 for bringing me as their videographer and spotter for this amazing adventure.

Whale Shark "Rhincodon typus" in Tagalog language "Butanding", in Bisaya language "Toki", a Whale shark is a one of a Friendly Mamal that Lives in the Ocean, that's why their called the "Gentle Giants".

They only feed on small planktons like small shrimps, and other small fish that grows like the shrimps, they will make close contact to people if they are fisherman's, fishing and their bait was the small shrimps called "UYAP".

in the middle of April 2021, 3 whale shark seen in Panagsama Moalboal Cebu, and make a close contact to people who are doing snorkeling and freediving I was also there to taking photos and videos and do guiding on snorkelirs. It's like a fiesta on the ocean for too many adventurer who wants to see the whale shark for free. Unlike in OSLOB, that you will pay for 500 peso for 30 minute swim, it's like a blessing for us, because it's free and many guest arrive to watch and see for the whale shark.

but later on tragic happen, there's a rumors that the LGU at Moalboal trying to owns the Gentle Giants and no one will agree on it, and the day after DENR came along early at the morning when the whale shark make close contact around 6am the DENR personel make close contact to the whale shark and they put a tag on it, reasons why they put a tag on it because they will try to slave them and make money on it like on oslob, but later on at the same day that they put a tag on it the Gentle Giants never saw again.

it's because of what they did to the whale shark that no one will agree and the whale shark being hurt by putting a tag on their fin at the upper part fin.

since then the Gentle Giants never make a close contact again at Panagsama Moalboal area again.

Once again this is Christian Sabanal saying that thank you and Godblessusall.

Absolutely breathtaking footage man, thanks for sharing these unique precious moments with us.

So sad to hear that someone (I don´t know what LGU means) wants to abuse these magnificent creatures for profit. I hope that the tagged shark will never come back, making this pathetic attempt of enslavement futile...

@tipu curate

thank you Mrs/Ms. @tipu godblessyou 😇🙏♥️

Your welcome sir @phortun 🙏
(LGU) means, Local Government Unit.
Their plan had never accomplished for the whale sharks, and also all people here in Moalboal didn't agree of what thier planning to do. and since the day that they put a tag on the whale shark, no whale sharks had been spotted here Panagsama Moalboal until now.

What the f? The LGU did that? Thats just so greedy. Can't they just let these gentle giants beeee. So they just want to be like Oslob and monetize from these creatures. Good thing those whalesharks never came back.

Yes they did, they had bad plans on it and also for the money 😔
