Walking around the city center I always like to go to monuments. Learning the history of the city is very enjoyable for me because I used to be lazy to study at school so it seems like it's time for me to pay for my laziness.
On the city monuments there will usually be valid information about the creation process of the monument being built in the past then I also saw information about the monument that I visited this time.
A monument in a city park that is quite popular. Not only tourists but also the community just to enjoy the green open space like I did wanting to enjoy the green open area and fresh air.
A monument to the struggle, I read the monument marker from the gate area that said VILLA PARK BANJARSARI. So this monument is also called MONUMENT 45 BANJARSARI.
It is called the monument 45 because the Republic of Indonesia was independent from the colonizers in 1945.
There are several gates on various sides of this monument park. But after walking around I only found one gate that was open. Then in front of the gate there is a statue that is usually found in temples or temples.
I continued walking through the gate. There was something that caught my attention, namely the bicycle parking area. It is very rare for public places to provide safe parking for bicycles.
Near the bicycle parking area there is a clean toilet area that is also friendly for the disabled.
In this monument park my eyes saw colorful things. Although not an expert in interpreting works of art, I feel happy to see works of art especially in public places like this.
3 paintings are placed on the right and left of the monument park area. Good placement in my opinion because it is located in the front area of the park.
In addition, there are also many painted trash cans. This is amazing in my opinion and makes this monument park interesting.
Then I moved to read information about this monument in the monument area. "MONUMEN PERJUANGAN 45 was built to commemorate the struggle of the heroes in this city to expel the Dutch colonialists which was inaugurated in 1976." I was impressed reading that.
On the monument, both front and back, there are statues of heroes.
On the front side there is a symbol of the garuda bird, then there are reliefs depicting war.
There are fountains arranged around the monument. Accompanied by ornamental plants that are neatly arranged.
In another area there is also a large children's playground complete with many types of games.
Full of bright colors which I think are intended to attract children's hearts so that they remain cheerful playing in this area.
The park area looks spacious with many seating areas also available made of cement. But visitors can also sit picnicking with mats on the wide grass.
The surroundings of the monument park, both inside and outside, are very clean. Several cleaning staff are seen dedicatedly cleaning the park.
On the fence posts of the park, flower pots are arranged, in my opinion the plants are tidied up regularly.
The pathway is also neat and feels comfortable walking around this monument park.
Remembering the struggles of the heroes while enjoying the works of art around. It is also fun to provide new information for me in a fun way.
