Sometimes, it is difficult for the mother’s heart to push aside the warmth feelings of her children. We could think that we can easily travel or take an adventure without our kids. But sadly, our experience turns out to be that of loneliness and uneasy sober reflection.

My experience was not very lovely over the weekend. I had traveled to my father's house leaving two of my kids with their dad. I sure know that their father won't be that playful and tolerant with them.

My husband, being a pastor, often likes a strict and regimented kind of life. He wouldn't want the children to ask for food when he is not ready. 😀 In fact eating with little droplets falling on the ground is a sinful arbitration to our Daddy 😂. So, living the kids with the man of the house could be like sending them to the barracks. They will know when to talk and when not to talk. Playing with toys around could be offensive.

We are blessed with the life of our grandfathers. My father, the maternal grandfather, is alive as well as my husband's father, our paternal grandfather. I decided to go check on my father in Oyo State which is a neighboring state to Kwara State where we live. We haven't visited him this year. I would have gone with the children but school activities wouldn't permit. I took the sucking baby and left the other two at home.

I left on Friday afternoon and came back Sunday morning. Trust me, I couldn't stop worrying about my children. Not as if their daddy would hurt (my husband isn't a hard person, only that he is a man of principles. You know children love a free and playful atmosphere) My heart couldn't forget them. Home is always home. There could be no place with joy, excitement, and fun like home.

When I came back on Sunday, Daddy and the children were in church. I quickly prepared lunch for them and did a little laundry. The picture is that of the clothes I spread in the sun to dry.
