A Shadow Rides
This sculpture was built in 1977 by Sergio Calixto Martínez Sopeña. It is simply named The Little Metal Horse.
There is no greater concept than to identify a Livestock Fair space with a figurative element like a horse in motion. It has been an enduring work, requiring barely any cleaning because its strength lies in its location on a stone over 3 meters high, which keeps it away from any contact with passersby.
It is a sculpture made of welded metal, much loved by the people of Las Tunas. It is part of the works created during the Sculpture Encounters that empowered Las Tunas as the Capital of Cuban Sculpture.
