Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest Round 376 "SHADOW OF COW"

Hello Hive community.

I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post photos are for Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest Round 346. This is the Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest run by @melinda010100 . Vadtal is a small village in the state of Gujarat in India. A beautiful temple was built by Lord Swaminarayan in Vadtal. Since then, Vadtal has come to be known as Vadtal Dham. I will give you more information about Vadtal in my post today.

In the two photographs above, in the second photograph, Lord Swaminarayan is seated on a horse. The name of that horse is Manki Ghodi. I will give you more information about Vadtal now. 200 years ago, on 3rd November 1824 (according to the Gujarati month Kartik Sud 12, Samvat 1881), Lord Shri Swaminarayan himself installed an idol in the temple in Vadtal. On its occasion, a big festival was organized in Vadtal Dham. In that festival, an exhibition based on the cow was organized. Cow idols were kept there. I have presented those photographs here for you to participate in the contest.

It is true that the 200th anniversary of Vadtal is a very special occasion for the followers of Swaminarayan Dharma. Because a large number of followers of Swaminarayan Dharma were present in this festival. It is not that people from India alone but from all over the world were present here to participate in this festival and to give their testimony. Now I hope you have understood that this festival is called the bicentennial celebration on the occasion of the completion of 200 years of this temple in 2024. This celebration included prayers, singing of hymns, religious speeches and a grand procession. Which I cannot describe in more detail here.

During this festival, many saints and spiritual leaders gave blessings and talked about the importance of Vadtal in the Swaminarayan tradition. If I may give you some more information about Vadtal Dham, Lord Swaminarayan himself had created the Vadtal Gadi and appointed Acharya Shri Raghuveerji Maharaj as the first Acharya of this Gadi. The Swaminarayan Temple of Vadtal was built with great devotion and beautiful architecture. This temple is still standing strong today and inspires faith in millions of people.
