The photograph was taken in an area full of trees and wildflowers. By chance, I had brought this fragment of mirror to take some photos that I will share later in another post, since it was a session with a model—haha, you’ll see. I really liked how the mirror reflected the piled-up clouds in the sky and made the blue stand out even more. But as if that weren’t enough, a butterfly flew over my head at the exact moment I was taking the photo, and it ended up caught in the mirror and in the picture mid-flight. I think that’s the greatest value of this photo: it immortalized the flutter of a butterfly, even if it’s barely noticeable without zooming in a lot. I would love to spend a day photographing only butterflies, but I think it would be a rather difficult task.
La fotografía fue tomada en una zona llena de árboles y flores silvestres. Casualmente había llevado este fragmento de espejo para tomar algunas fotos que más adelante compartiré en otro post, ya que fue una sesión con modelo, jajaj, ya verán. Me gustó mucho cómo el espejo reflejaba las nubes amontonadas en el cielo y hacía resaltar aún más el azul. Pero, como si esto no fuera poco, pasó una mariposa volando sobre mi cabeza en el justo momento en que tomaba la fotografía y quedó ahí atrapada en el espejo y en la foto a mitad de vuelo. Creo que ese es el valor más grande que tiene esta foto: que inmortalizó el aleteo de una mariposa, aunque apenas sea imperceptible si no se le hace mucho zoom. Me gustaría un día ir a fotografiar solamente mariposas, pero creo que va a ser una tarea algo difícil.
