Reflections that life could be tougher than it is & how nature beautifully humbles one.

Since early born times I have not lived an "easy upper echelon life" on the monetary scale or many ways at all, although I know that I definately have have had it "easier" than many in this world in a lot of ways. (Stories for another day.)

Over five decades young and I physically slog daily to put food on the table but have always given away my fair share to others in various manners which has created self/ quiet warmth and have mental pleasures like getting to my hometown beach almost every afternoon for a form of relaxation of just being with nature & beauty. It also often grounds and humbles me.

This afternoon was no different....I sat and watched a seagull for ages going through his personal slog to get a "drive-thru takeaway meal" and it humbled me once again.

The above photo is my entry into the #refiection hunters contest - round 81.

I first watched him select his "takeaway" from the menu. Once this was done he had to get it out of the "ridiculous" packaging with no hands or "utensils".

This involved countless flights up, from where he dropped it on the sand below to try weaken the shell along with periods of pecking it while on the beach.

He was eventually successful and got his couple of mouthfuls. That made my afternoon and made me smile for him.

The ever ongoing life lesson that I took from it today......life can be dam tough at times but never forget to appreciate what it has gifted you.
Always remember that there are many living it far tougher...
