ME APODARON "EL ZORRO" / THEY NICKNAMED ME "THE FOX"

Hace algún tiempo le preguntamos al más experimentado del grupo ¿por qué su apodo era “El Zorro”?

Fue justo en ese momento donde inicio una historia, que si bien habíamos escuchado antes, la pasión y convencimiento que el le imprimió hizo que se tornara mucho más interesante y creíble.

A los 19 años de edad entré a la prisión, me acusaron de infiltrarme en la inteligencia del Gobierno y según ellos me robe mucha información sensible.

Todos en la prisión creyeron que eso era cierto y decidieron, que por mi astucia, me apodarían “El Zorro”.

Hasta este punto todos habiamos logrado contener la risa, la cual, sin ánimos de ofender pero con total incredulidad, dejamos salir a carcajadas ya que conocíamos sus grandes historias, a lo cual él sin ningún reparo continuo de la siguiente manera:

Mi tío Julian para esa época vivía solo, mi tia lo había dejado y él se refugió en la jardinería. El me escribía cada semana contándome como iba todo y cuáles eran sus planes. Recuerdo que la carta de esa semana decía, entre muchas otras cosas…

“Sobrino querido, desearía que estuvieses aquí para que me ayudaras a arar el jardín y plantar las flores. Ya me siento muy viejo para esto“.

Pase muchas noches pensando en como podia ayudarle a mi tío, hasta que tuve una gran idea y le escribí una carta diciéndole:

“Tío querido, por favor no ares en el jardín, nadie debe encontrar lo que allí está escondido, cuando salga de prisión disfrutaremos de sus frutos“.

Pues no pasó ni una hora para que a la casa de mi tío llegara la inteligencia, la policia, la guardia nacional, los bomberos y hasta los Boy Scouts.

Escarbaron todo, removieron cada centímetro de patio que existía, pero obviamente no encontraron nada, su risa a gritos nos hizo dudar de nuestra incredulidad.

A la siguiente semana decidí aclararle, a mi tío, el susto que le había hecho pasar, por lo que le escribí la siguiente carta:

“Querido tío, espero que la tierra haya quedado bien arada por los policías, ahora ya puedes sembrar tus flores y si necesitas algo más solo avísame”.

Al finalizar la historia todos estábamos en un absoluto silencio de completo respeto a tan majestuosa inteligencia, no podíamos creer que nuestro amigo hubiese vivido tan fantástica historia.

Silencio que duro hasta que uno de nosotros recordó que su papá y su mamá eran hijos únicos.

Hasta el día de hoy esta historia es tema de alegría y risas cada vez que nos reunimos, así como no falta quien comente la moraleja que aprendimos de ella.

"La inteligencia esta muy subestimada. Si recuerdas usar tu mente, te asombrarás de sus poderes."

When I was 19 years old, I entered prison, they accused me of infiltrating government intelligence and, according to them, I stole a lot of sensitive information.

Everyone in the prison believed that this was true and decided that because of my cunning, they would nickname me "The Fox".

Up to this point we had all managed to contain our laughter, which, without intending to offend but with total disbelief, we let out laughing since we knew his great stories, to which he continued without any qualms as follows:

My uncle Julian at that time lived alone, my aunt had left him and he took refuge in gardening. He wrote to me every week telling me how everything was going and what his plans were. I remember that the letter of that week said, among many other things…

“Dear nephew, I wish you were here to help me plow the garden and plant the flowers. I feel too old for this."

I spent many nights thinking about how I could help my uncle, until I had a great idea and wrote him a letter saying:

"Dear uncle, please don't plow in the garden, no one should find what is hidden there, when I get out of prison we will enjoy its fruits."

Well, it didn't take an hour for intelligence, the police, the national guard, the fire brigade and even the Boy Scouts to arrive at my uncle's house.

They dug everything, they removed every inch of patio that existed, but obviously they found nothing, their loud laughter made us doubt our disbelief.

The following week I decided to explain to my uncle the scare I had given him, so I wrote him the following letter:

"Dear uncle, I hope the land has been well plowed by the police, now you can plant your flowers and if you need anything else just let me know."

At the end of the story we were all in an absolute silence of complete respect for such a majestic intelligence, we could not believe that our friend had lived such a fantastic story.

Silence that lasted until one of us remembered that his mom and dad were only children.

To this day this story is the subject of joy and laughter every time we meet, just as there is no shortage of those who comment on the moral we learned from it.

"Intelligence is greatly underestimated. If you remember to use your mind, you will be amazed at its powers."
