3D-PRINTING AT HOME✨

in Hobbies and Nobbies11 months ago (edited)

Our flat is a studio for 3d-printing more than 2 years.

✨We are used to sleep listening to noises of 2 printers,
✨we are used not to open curtains when photopolymer producing is going on,
✨we are used to buy new kinds of filaments and photopolymer resin every month
and we are used to enjoy it!😊

Sometimes we have no orders ar all, and we are boring and sad. Even if we are very tired but we are busy with printing it's better;)

Sometimes we are too busy and even have no time to sleep well, but we are happy because our hobby is becoming our business.

When 3d-printers are working, I say:"It's a sound of money"😅
For now we don't get too much from it, but still it's our main activity now, and it gives us profit.

We still remain the only one 3d-printing studio in Kerch, and I'm proud my hubby is realy a cool 3d-modeller and 3d-printing professional.

Now some photos of our works:

it's our main fun now
we call it HandAss;))
it's a funny gift that means a man can't do anything well so he his hands are not from shoulders😅😅

that's how HandAss looked after producing being still into the 3d-printer

Look how many layers it has! More than 2000!

Technical orders are still in our TOP

especially for cars

it's a broken detail

it's a car starter we've made

filament - fiberglass composite

Such articulative toys are popular too now

it's a bike detail

a broken one

it's what we'de made

it's a car key

a broken one and our new one

Keep in touch with new ideas. You have provided what actually is the need to us.
Thank you very much.

I am considering business. What printer(s) do you use? What do you do to advertise? Where do your orders mostly come from? I would appreciate such information you are willing to provide.

Thanks!

are you going to start 3D-busiiness?
we've only a community in the local Social web, we show examples of our work there, and all orders come from it. Sometimes we use ads there in other communities as well. But actually "alive ads" (when people just tell their friends about us) work much better.

I am considering starting a business, or perhaps several if things work out. I am interested in producing a prototype for a product I think will be of great interest to home owners and would like to develop it and see if I can get some business. I am getting too old to climb ladders and wrestle beams into place with one hand while I fasten them with the other, and hold the ladder with my toes, but I still need to pay my way in the world, so I will sadly have to do work less fun.

I also get my work through word of mouth (when people tell others about me) so I understand that very well. I appreciate your kind reply, and see why you get business, the quality of the 'handass' guy looks very good.

Thanks!

it's a photopolymer 3d-printer, and its quality is really very high, detalization is super cool, and we can see even nails on his feet;)
We were the 1st to start this kind of business here in my city, and it was very hard. It's a little bit easier now, but not so much, we don't have a lot of orders any day. Sometimes it's really good, sometimes we have nothing. I think in bigger cities it works better, but here some people still can't get what it is, and how they can use this service, others aren't ready to pay the price we say, though it's not high, it's just normal for this kind of work. For example, how much is a HandAss price - what do you think? If we spend more than 7 hours for its producing + resin. To get this very detalization a printer works veeeery slowly and very carefully.

I have no way to guess at the price you need for your products, because I have no idea what the materials cost you, your power cost, or what it's worth to you to tie up your printer for 7 hours.

The trade off between speed and quality is understandable. I'll have to face all those demons when I manage to create a prototype and ascertain if I can make it at a price point people will be willing to spend. I assume it can be done, but the proof remains to be established.

ok, you're right, it's hard to guess it
it costs 15$, and most people think it's too much for it, because it's just a funny thing. Yeah, it's just a joke, but it includes much time for producing it, material + our efforts and our printers that have its pricer as well. Very few people really understand where from prices come out.

Ahha my dear I was not aware of this work of yours, no wonder you are so creative with your little boy also in his work. It's a very unique type of work

no, dear, Vlad doesn't make 3d-printing, it's his Dad job;)
didn't you know about it?? I wrote many posts about it and it seems to me you saw them. No?

How I wish I could have more ideas about the things under the sun. Lovin' your 3D printing.

thank you! oh I am sure you HAVE. Just other ideas. Different ones. But they are just what you need.
