Hola queridos amigos de Hive y de esta hermosa comunidad de Hive Book Club, espero se encuentren bien y que hayan tenido un muy buen día, yo por mi parte he tenido una semana bastante entretenida, estaba leyendo por segunda vez una de las trilogías que más me han gustado de la autora Nora Roberts, se trata de la trilogía el círculo, tres historias muy emocionantes que te dejan cautivada desde la primera página y después no puedes parar, así me pasó a mi, la leí completa en 4 días. Esta trilogía trata de una guerrera contra los vampiros, una guerra que está predestinada por los dioses desde mucho tiempo atrás y que la deben dirigir un círculo de 6 personas, un hechicero, una bruja, un guerrero, un sabio, el cambia formas y aquél que se ha perdido. Historias de romance, ficción y fantasía que te dejarán sin aliento.

Libro 1 - La Cruz de Morrigan

Esta es la historia de Hoyt Mac Cionaoith un hechicero que acaba de perder a su hermano gemelo Cian Mac Cionaoith debido a que fue convertido en vampiro por la reina de los vampiros Lilith, lo que hace que Hoy t busque venganza y lo que encuentra es que la diosa Morrigan, diosa de la guerra, lo manda a buscar y formar un círculo para liderar la batalla que se llevará a cabo contra la reina de los vampiros para salvar todos los mundos, es por esto que debe buscar a la bruja, al guerrero, al sabio, al que cambia formas y a aquel que se ha perdido, es decir, a su hermano Cian., algunos lo tendrá que buscar él y otros se le unirán en el camino. Esto lleva a Hoy t a viajar desde Irlanda del siglo XII a Nueva York del siglo XX para encontrarse con su hermano, luego se irán uniendo los demás, La Bruja: Glenna, La Sabía: Moira, El cambia formas: Larkin y La Guerrera: Blair. Pero mientras se están entrando para la batalla también crece una llama de amor entre Hoy t el Hechicero y Glenna la Bruja, ahora la cuestión es que ellos son de épocas diferentes, cómo estar juntos a pesar de eso?

En mi opinión es una historia apasionante y cautivadora, un romance que parece prohibido, una oportunidad para amar pero peleando con el tiempo porque no se sabe si al día siguiente uno de ellos podría morir. A mi me ha encantado, la historia es un poco fuerte con tantas muertes, pero vale la pena su lectura.

Libro 2 - El Baile de los Dioses

El segundo libro de la Trilogía El Círculo es la segunda fase antes de comenzar la guerra contra los vampiros liderados por Lilith, su reina. En este periodo el círculo formado por la diosa Morrigan conformado por Hoy t el hechicero, Glenna la bruja, Blair la guerrera, Moira la sabia, Larkin el cambia formas y Cian el vampiro deben entrenar y aprender sobre el enemigo, para esto los encargados del entrenamiento son Cian y Blair, esta segunda ha nacido de un linaje de caza vampiros y ella nació con ese don así que desde muy temprana edad se le ha conferido la misión de dar caza a todos los vampiros, pero esto le ha conllevado a tener algunos problemas emocionales ya que su padre después que la entrenó la abandonó y el hombre con el que iba a casarse al saber lo que era en realidad también la abandonó, es por esto que Blair ya no cree que pueda ser amada por un hombre a tal grado de querer formar una familia con ella, pero Larkin, un joven de otro mundo y con el don de cambiar de formas llegó para cambiar todas las expectativas que tenía sobre su vida y a llegar a creer que si podría ser amada. Por otra parte, la mayor preocupación que tiene el grupo es cómo pasar de Irlanda del siglo XX al mundo de Geall, donde se librará la batalla contra Lilith, ellos deben pasar por el Baile de los dioses que es un portal entre los mundos, pero también es una tierra sagrada donde no se admitirán vampiros y Cian es un vampiro, pero también es parte de ellos.

Esta es una emocionante historia llena de pequeñas batallas y de fastidiar a los vampiros, la verdad es una novela entretenida que te deja en suspenso en cada página y además está llena de ternura y cariño, no solamente entre Blair y Larkin sino entre todos los integrantes del círculo ya que antes de ir a la batalla ellos deben resolver sus conflictos y ser una unidad, lo que no es fácil y Cian no ayuda mucho con su sarcasmo 🤣.

Libro 3 - El Valle del Silencio

El último libro de la trilogía, está historia se desarrolla en Geall donde el círculo de 6 deben estar preparados y preparar al ejército de Geall para la batalla por los mundos. Aquí cada uno de los miembros del círculo estará enfocado en llevar los conocimientos que han adquirido al ejército que se ha reunido en Geall ya que falta muy poco tiempo para la batalla que definirá el futuro de todos los mundos. Para Moira no es fácil regresar a su tierra ya que eso conlleva responsabilidades como convertirse en la reina de Geall y pedirle a su gente que luche en una guerra contra enemigos que tienen ventaja ya que son seres sobrenaturales, ellos solo son humanos, pero como algunos dicen, la fe mueve montañas. Ver a sus amigos y familiares salir a la guerra no es fácil y sobretodo desconociendo si los va a volver a ver, lo que hace que Moira empiece a hacer las cosas que le gustaría hacer antes de morir, y una de esas cosas es saber lo que siente realmente por Cian y descubrir porque este cuando ella está cerca se aleja, pero también sabe que un romance con él estaría destinado al fracaso ya que él es un vampiro con una vida ilimitada y ella una simple mortal con una corta vida.

Sinceramente esta fue mi historia favorita entre las tres, es apasiona, romántica y llena de incertidumbre, me encanta la pareja que hacen Cian y Moira, pero la historia está llena de muertes de amigos de Moira y Larkin por lo que estos personajes nos hacen sentir su dolor, pero lo más apasionante para mi fue vivir la vida de Moira como si no hubiera un mañana, como si no fuera a vivir para ver a su familia y amigos, pero sobretodo para amar a Cian.

This trilogy is about a warrior against vampires, a war that is predestined by the gods from long ago and that must lead a circle of 6 people, a sorcerer, a witch, a warrior, a wise man, the shape shifter and the one who is lost. Stories of romance, fiction and fantasy that will leave you breathless.

Book 1 - Morrigan’s Cross

This is the story of Hoyt Mac Cionaoith a sorcerer who has just lost his twin brother Cian Mac Cionaoith because he was turned into a vampire by the vampire queen Lilith, which makes Hoyt seek revenge and what he finds is that the goddess Morrigan, goddess of war, sends him to find and form a circle to lead the battle that will take place against the queen of vampires to save all the worlds, which is why he must seek the witch, the warrior, the wise, the shape-shifter and the one who has been lost, that is, his brother Cian., Some he will have to look for himself and others will join him on the way. This leads Hoy t to travel from 12th century Ireland to 20th century New York to meet his brother, then the others will join him, The Witch: Glenna, The Wise One: Moira, The Shapeshifter: Larkin and The Warrior: Blair. But while they are entering the battle a flame of love also grows between Hoy t the Sorcerer and Glenna the Witch, now the question is that they are from different times, how to be together in spite of that?

In my opinion it is a passionate and captivating story, a romance that seems forbidden, a chance to love but fighting with time because you don’t know if the next day one of them could die. I loved it, the story is a bit strong with so many deaths, but it is worth reading.

Book 2 - The Dance of the Gods

The second book of The Circle Trilogy is the second phase before starting the war against the vampires led by Lilith, their queen. In this period the circle formed by the goddess Morrigan formed by Hoy T the sorcerer, Glenna the witch, Blair the warrior, Moira the wise, Larkin the shape shifter and Cian the vampire must train and learn about the enemy, for this the ones in charge of training are Cian and Blair, the latter has been born from a lineage of vampire hunters and she was born with that gift so from an early age she has been given the mission to hunt all vampires, but this has led her to have some emotional problems since her father abandoned her after he trained her and the man she was going to marry when he found out what she really was also abandoned her, that is why Blair no longer believes that she can be loved by a man to the extent of wanting to form a family with her, but Larkin, a young man from another world and with the gift of changing forms came to change all the expectations she had about her life and to come to believe that if she could be loved. On the other hand, the biggest concern that the group has is how to move from twentieth century Ireland to the world of Geall, where the battle against Lilith will be fought, they must pass through the Dance of the Gods which is a portal between worlds, but it is also a sacred land where vampires are not allowed and Cian is a vampire, but is also part of them.

This is an exciting story full of small battles and annoying vampires, the truth is an entertaining novel that leaves you in suspense on every page and it is also full of tenderness and affection, not only between Blair and Larkin but between all the members of the circle because before going to battle they must resolve their conflicts and be a unit, which is not easy and Cian does not help much with his sarcasm 🤣.

Book 3 - The Valley of Silence

The last book of the trilogy, this story takes place in Geall where the circle of 6 must be prepared and prepare the army of Geall for the battle for the worlds. Here each of the members of the circle will be focused on bringing the knowledge they have acquired to the army that has gathered in Geall as there is very little time left for the battle that will define the future of all the worlds. For Moira it is not easy to return to her homeland as it brings with it responsibilities such as becoming the queen of Geall and asking her people to fight in a war against enemies that have an advantage as they are supernatural beings, they are only human, but as some say, faith moves mountains. Seeing her friends and family go off to war is not easy and especially not knowing if she will see them again, which makes Moira start to do the things she would like to do before she dies, and one of those things is to know what she really feels for Cian and find out why he moves away when she is near, but she also knows that a romance with him would be doomed to failure since he is a vampire with an unlimited life and she is a mere mortal with a short life.

Honestly this was my favorite story among the three, it is passionate, romantic and full of uncertainty, I love the couple that Cian and Moira make, but the story is full of deaths of Moira and Larkin’s friends so these characters make us feel their pain, but the most passionate thing for me was living Moira’s life as if there was no tomorrow, as if she would not live to see her family and friends, but most of all to love Cian.
