Reseña y opinion: El Caballero de la armadura oxidada. | Review and opinion: The Knight in Rusty Armor.

Algunas veces postergamos nuestras prioridades por darle mayor valor a otras cosas que sencillamente no lo son, inclusive dejamos de darle valor a los seres queridos porque sencillamente pensamos. "Siempre estarán allí".-

Sometimes we postpone our priorities to give more value to other things that simply are not, we even stop giving value to our loved ones because we simply think. "They will always be there.".

Queridos amigos, hoy quiero hablarles de un libro el cual hace mucho tiempo leí, sin embargo, debido a la temprana edad en la que lo leí no pude apreciar, o mejor dicho, internalizar profundamente el potente mensaje que este traía. Se trata de: El Caballero de la armadura oxidada. Una narración ficticia del escritor Robert Fisher del año 1987.

Dear friends, today I want to talk to you about a book that I read a long time ago, however, due to the young age at which I read it, I could not appreciate, or rather, deeply internalize the powerful message that it brought. It is about: The Knight in Rusty Armor. A fictitious narration by the writer Robert Fisher from 1987.

Como mencione «ut supra» la primera vez que lo lei me pareció interesante simplemente por el hecho de que dentro del libro podemos encontrar un relato ficticio lleno de fantasía donde podemos adentrarnos en un mundo medieval en el cual encontramos animales hablantes, castillos e inclusive personalidades como el mago Berlín. Sin embargo, por mí poca madurez de ese entonces no pude darle la importancia al mensaje que este buen libro trata de transmitir. Mensaje el cual el día de hoy valoro y aprecio de tal manera que trato de poner en práctica todos los días.

As I mentioned "ut supra" the first time I read it I found it interesting simply for the fact that within the book we can find a fictional story full of fantasy where we can enter a medieval world in which we find talking animals, castles and even personalities such as the wizard Berlin. However, because of my lack of maturity at that time I could not give the importance to the message that this good book tries to convey. A message that today I value and appreciate so much that I try to put into practice every day.

El Caballero de la Armadura oxidada.

Esta majestuosa obra de Fisher tiene una narrativa tipo relato o novela, está catalogada dentro del género de autoayuda o motivación personal. Cabe destacar la creatividad de Fisher para darle a la obra ese toque de fantasía y gracia literaria, la cual en apenas 100 paginas hacen que su lectura sea muy divertida e imaginativa.

The Knight in Rusty Armor.

This majestic work of Fisher has a narrative type story or novel, is classified within the genre of self-help or personal motivation. It is worth noting Fisher's creativity to give the work that touch of fantasy and literary grace, which in just 100 pages makes it a very fun and imaginative read.

Nuestro personaje principal es un caballero el cual siempre ha estado acostumbrado a ser una persona valiente, buena, leal, quien se ha enfrentado a enormes dragones y a rescatar a princesas. Sin embargo, podemos ver que nuestro personaje vive encerrado dentro de su propia armadura, quizás por miedo a exteriorizarse Ocultando así sus miedos, limitaciones, sus temores de aceptación. Buscando siempre justificaciones en batallas o rescates de princesas solo para portar su armadura, pero, cuando el caballero se da cuenta de su problema, ya está a punto de perder a su familia por nunca darle la importancia y debida prioridad.

Our main character is a knight who has always been used to be a brave, good, loyal person, who has faced huge dragons and rescued princesses. However, we can see that our character lives locked inside his own armor, perhaps for fear of externalizing himself, thus hiding his fears, limitations, his fears of acceptance. Always looking for justifications in battles or princess rescues just to wear his armor, but, when the knight realizes his problem, he is already about to lose his family for never giving him the importance and due priority.

Luego de ver que está a punto de perder a su familia, nuestro caballero decide quitarse la armadura y es aquí cuando comienza una gran travesía donde deberá superar muchas pruebas que solo él debe superar y así poder rescatarse a el mismo, ya que por andar peleando batallas no solo se olvidó de su familia sino también del mismo.

After seeing that he is about to lose his family, our knight decides to take off his armor and this is when he begins a great journey where he must overcome many tests that only he must overcome and thus be able to rescue himself, since by fighting battles he not only forgot his family but also himself.

Este gran libro no solo nos habla de las cosas que debemos priorizar en la vida, también nos muestra que hay veces en las que nos encontramos presos dentro de prisiones que nosotros mismos nos creamos y esta es la prisión del alma, también nos deja como mensaje que la primera lealtad que debemos jurarnos es a nosotros mismos.

This great book not only tells us about the things we must prioritize in life, it also shows us that there are times when we find ourselves imprisoned in prisons that we create for ourselves and this is the prison of the soul, it also leaves us with the message that the first loyalty we must swear is to ourselves.

Muchas veces nosotros mismos nos encerramos en nuestra propia coraza por temor a sentirnos juzgados, también dejamos de darle prioridad a nuestros seres queridos, poniendo como prioridad otras cosas que realmente no lo son olvidándonos así no solo de nuestras verdaderas prioridades e inclusive de nosotros mismos.

Many times we ourselves close ourselves in our own armor for fear of being judged, we also stop giving priority to our loved ones, putting as a priority other things that really are not, forgetting not only our true priorities but also ourselves.
