BOOK REVIEW: LISTEN, LITTLE MAN

I was presenting my degree project to obtain a degree in education, mention: social sciences at the University of Carabobo. The university lecturer, Néstor Mirabal, suggested that I read the work Listen, Little Man by the German Wilhelm Reich, a doctor, psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, and sexologist of Jewish descent. This work of analysis and reflection of the incipient sexual scientific current determined in the destiny of my life a dramatic situation, when I did not understand that this erudite scientist's object was the discovery of the orgone. What was and is the orgone? The answer is still in the making because humanity still does not have the information in the social consciousness. The causes of the lack of the answer are exposed in this monument of scientific literature. There is a silent conspiracy of the theoretical proposal of the orgone and the orgone function of the transcendent thinker of humanity, Wilhelm Reich.

Reich calls upon me to read it. He makes a call to all the little men and women who are internalized as a worm boring into the human personality of our time. Reading his biography is exciting. Persecuted in Europe for his postulates for sexual liberation from the historical aggression of sex, sexual violence by Stalinism and fascism and later, imprisoned in North America.

My interest is to expose the importance of reading this and all the monumental books of human thought. This work by Reich, who was a disciple of Freud and broke with his master because at the basis of his Marxist training, he relies on the sexual economy to investigate sexual repression, the domestication and subjugation of the individual to subjugate him to the political and social system. Sexual aggression is linked to emotional poverty.

I must point out that this researcher participated in the first world war against fascism. At the end of this hecatomb, he continued his university studies and graduated as a doctor. He was expelled from the German Communist Party and from all European Marxist cells or circles. He was persecuted by the KGB and by German and European fascism for his theoretical proposal of the orgone and sexual liberation in communist youth. He passionately proposed that to the extent that sexual activity is generated operatively in young people, breaking with the sexual property of sex, the greater the benefit of pleasure to awaken the light of humanity's conscience.

Reich considered that a psychically healthy individual enjoys an organism biologically and psychically; with joy, freedom, and dignity; without traumas, inhibitions. The neurotic person has this pleasure dysfunction. This German scientist argues that, human culture is an organism that combined with orgasm results in: orgone. It is the vital energy of every organism. Reich built the technology with which he demonstrated the result of all his research.

Wilhelm Reich died a strange death in prison in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA, on November 3, 1957. His work is housed in the Harvard University Medical Library. The proposed break with the chains of the discretionary slave is an indication of the depth of humanity's historical task to achieve the wellbeing of exquisite and wholesome freedom.
I remain attentive, enjoying Wilhelm Reich's scientific work in the depths of man's micro-universe, with its social and sexual behavior.
