But my focus in on another detail. Why is a man gay/bisexual? What made him reach this conclusion and what happened to him? The same question I would have in my mind for a lesbian woman. I am walking on mined territory with these questions and I know that today one can be sacrificed on the altar of human rights if any word rubs someone in the wrong way. I am deciding to write anyway. The book written by psychoanalyst Stephen Grosz The Examined Life. How We lose and Find Ourselves is pure , raw, sincere depiction of the tribulations of the human soul. To be more specific, I would now conclude after reading it that any suffering of the soul is the consequence of a flawed family system. A consequence of generations of caregivers who did wrong to their offsprings, consciously or not. It is my opinion and you can take my word for it or try to find it on your own, if you dare to look deep into you soul and into your family history.

I remember the time when I was sent the digital book. At first, I didn't give it much importance. I had a lot of books to read and didn't prioritize it. At that time I was fifteen years old and, like any teenager trying to find themselves, I felt the need to find something that would hit me and make me face reality. Then came the day when I decided to delete the books I had already read and make space for new ones. That's when I found the book again and started to research a little about its author.

I was starstruck, I sat there, captivated and lost in the echoes of my past relationships, weaving through memories and envisioning myriad possibilities. Emotions surged within me, wounded by the poignant tale unfurling in the pages of this book. Each word from the initial page to the final one ensnared me in the narrative's grip.

I have read more African literature in the past two years. Literature including Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o’s A Grain of Wheat, J.M. Coetzee’s Age of Iron and much more. Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, has become one of my favourite books that fall under African Literature. The story and the characters are exquisite. I even wrote my exam paper on this novel. There may be spoilers ahead, if you want to read the book for yourself please read this post at another time.Structure. The book is structured in different times and it is set around "Palm Sunday". The first part is "Palm Sunday" which are then followed by "Before Palm Sunday", "After Palm Sunday" and it ends with the present. It is a different structure and it does not follow the usual plot of Exposition, Rising Action, and Climax. Rather, the novel opens with a climax then it is followed by the exposition and the rising action leading up to this climax. The novel’s plot makes a zigzag shape and it may seem complex, but when reading it the execution of this is done really well.

Hello to all reading lovers and welcome to my blog! This time I want to share with you my opinion about the last book I read, "Punk57" by Penelope Douglas. As a book fanatic, I'm always looking for new stories that grab me and this book did it without a doubt. I hadn't uploaded a review for quite some time, I couldn't find a book that hooked me but two days ago I started reading this book and although it was a little slow at the beginning then it got more exciting and I couldn't stop reading it until I finished it. I hadn't read anything by the author before but I found her way of narrating the young romance genre story a bit cliché although it had a lot of good things that I could reflect on through the characters and that left me with several life lessons.

Everyone of us loves to read different kinds of books and according to the topics we would like to read. The book, divided into strategic parts, begins with a captivating exploration of the connections between tarot and the Renaissance. The first part, covering detailed explanations of the major arcana, weaves a narrative that links the mysteries of the tarot with the rich historical and cultural context of the Renaissance. Jane Lyle not only breaks down the meanings of the cards, but also takes the reader on a journey through time, where the tarot becomes a reflection of the beliefs and philosophies of the time.

Designing a logo, divider, and banner is something one can do but takes a little time if you want to make it unique. I tried to bring out something out of nothing. I have been trying to make all these these and today I just decided to pour my quota down to everyone and in the community at large to feel my designs. I'm not perfect but I just tried to make something to my taste. I wouldn't know if it would be the community's taste, but whichever way, it's a contest that everyone needs to try just to get the best. The community needs the best and I wish everyone partaking in this contest the b st of luck.

What is Hive Book Club?

Hive Book Club is a community made by book lovers, for book lovers. A place where the chaotic minds of writers may punch away words from their keyboards as they share their writing adventures. Where passionate book collectors may rummage through their stacks of books to share and review their latest additions. Outside of our regular curation process, we may create contests for our community to participate in, and earn even more from their posts. If you have a certain theme for a future contest you would like to see, let us know! Be sure to check with us frequently on our various social media platforms to avoid missing out!

How Do We Choose The Highlighted Posts?

For those of you curious as to how you may have been chosen or would like to be chosen in the future in one of these compilations: we scan through the community and read the many posts that the community members write. We then select four or five posts that we believe meet certain criteria and are worthy of sharing with the rest of the community. We aim to keep these selections diverse in style, from writing skills or subject matter.

Hence, throughout the week, the moderators will check the community and manually handpick the posts. Some factors include the post subject, post quality, engagement, personal voice, and general effort. If we choose you, or you happen to stumble across these highlights, please do check out the other posts we feature, and contribute to their curation and engagement!

We also have a Discord server! Be sure to join it to stay up-to-date with the latest events, and communicate with our community! Hive Book Club Server
