Hello everyone friends of Hive Book Club, I hope you are great today and with lots of energy, this time I want to share with you my opinions about a new novel... today I will talk to you about: Mr. Livingstone's Bookstore, written by Monica Gutierrez. Have you ever dreamed of getting lost in a small bookstore full of charm and magic, where every corner is full of unique and surprising stories? This book is everything a bookstore lover should read... from the first page it makes you smile, and not only that, it made me feel extremely comfortable, as if I was wrapped in a super warm environment with a cup of chocolate in my hands... it is very relaxing, surely you have heard of the term Feel Good Book.

It's a story that is designed to brighten your day and just comfort your soul... and I must admit that it succeeded on many occasions, but well, let's talk a bit about the story... in this world we will meet Agnes, a Spanish archaeologist who, after a rough patch in London, ends up working in the lovely Moonlight Books bookstore... the premise is very simple, but what really makes this novel special is how the author takes us by the hand through this little literary universe. . the bookstore is not only the heart of the story, it is also another character, full of life, secrets and references to great literary works such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and the adventures of Tom Sawyer... these mentions not only add a touch of nostalgia for us readers, but also reinforce and transmit all the love for books that permeates the characters.

And precisely, speaking of the characters, this is another great asset that this story has, the main character is very tender and interesting.. this makes it easy to empathize and connect with her, she is very determined, but also vulnerable.... throughout the story, her vulnerability manifests itself in her internal struggle to find her place in an environment that is very unfamiliar and extremely challenging... her moments of doubt and homesickness make her deeply human, something I love... also her ability to adapt and connect with those around her shows a growth that is really inspiring.

Hola a todos amigos de Hive Book Club, espero que hoy estén genial y con mucha energía, esta vez les quiero compartir mis opiniones sobre una nueva novela.. hoy les hablaré de: La librería del señor Livingstone, escrita por Mónica Gutiérrez. ¿Alguna vez han soñado con perderse en una pequeña librería llena de encanto y magia, donde cada rincón está lleno de historias únicas y sorprendentes? Este libro es todo lo que un amante de las librerías debería leer.. desde la primera página te hace sonreír, y no solo eso, a mí me hizo sentir sumamente cómodo, como si estuviera envuelto en un ambiente súper cálido con una taza de chocolate en las manos.. es muy relajante, seguramente han oído hablar del término Libro Feel Good.

Esta es una historia escrita para alegrarte el día y calentar tu alma... y debo admitir que lo ha hecho muchas veces, pero de todos modos, hablemos de esta historia.. en este mundo conocemos a Agnes, una arqueóloga española que, tras un periodo difícil en Londres, encuentra trabajo en la encantadora librería Moonlight.. la idea es simple, pero lo que hace que esta novela sea realmente especial es la forma en que el autor nos guía a través de cada página.. la libreria no sólo es el centro de la historia sino también un personaje más, lleno de vida, secretos y referencias a grandes obras literarias como Harry Potter, El Señor de los Anillos, Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer...todas ellas apuntan a entretenerte, no sólo nos añade un poco de nostalgia a nosotros, los lectores, sino que también realza y transmite todo el amor por los libros que impregna a los personajes.

Y justamente, hablando de los personajes, este es otro gran acierto que tiene esta historia, la protagonista es muy tierna e interesante.. esto hace que sea fácil empatizar y conectar con ella, es muy decidida, pero también vulnerable.. a lo largo de la historia, su vulnerabilidad se manifiesta en su lucha interna por encontrar su lugar en un entorno que le es muy desconocido y sumamente desafiante.. sus momentos de duda y nostalgia por su hogar la hacen profundamente humana, algo que me encanta.. también su capacidad para adaptarse y conectar con quienes la rodean muestra un crecimiento que resulta realmente inspirador.

And obviously I also have to talk about Mr. Livingstones, he is a somewhat grumpy but endearing gentleman... he is the owner of the bookstore, and his publisher girlfriend also has a charming and very ambitious personality... we will also meet a nice and curious little boy who wants to be a writer, and who brings very endearing moments to the whole plot. . another character I liked is the Scotland Yard inspector, who adds a touch of mystery to the story with the disappearance of a very important book, here, each character has his moment to shine, and together they create a warm and cozy atmosphere. I must tell you that this author's writing is like a kind of whisper in your ear: it's fluid, natural, and full of little details that make you want to keep reading and reading... it's almost like a friend telling you a little gossip, the narrative flows with a simplicity that doesn't detract from the depth, and the author has a gift for narrating scenarios that make you feel like you are walking the streets of London or exploring the corners of this great bookstore.

In addition, I should also mention that there is some humor throughout the story, accompanied by the endearing situations... it is interesting how they are present throughout the novel, which makes it a really fun and enjoyable experience.Talking a bit about the themes, this story addresses the love for books and literature as its central axis, but it also touches on interesting aspects such as the search for a place in the world, helplessness, and above all the importance of human connections.

These connections develop naturally through the encounters and relationships that Agnes forms, it's great to see how she begins to relate to the bookstore customers, her co-workers, and even the secondary characters that appear briefly, showing how each interaction brings something valuable to her personal journey... I must say that there is also some romance present here, but it is not the main focus, which is appreciated, because it allows the story to breathe and develop in a more organic way, without the need to push romantic situations where they don't fit.

Y obviamente también tengo que hablar del Sr. Livingstones, es un señor algo gruñón pero entrañable.. es el dueño de la librería, y su novia editora también tiene una personalidad encantadora y muy ambiciosa.. también conoceremos a un pequeño niño agradable y curioso que quiere ser escritor, y que aporta momentos muy entrañables a toda la trama.. otro personaje que me gustó es el inspector de Scotland Yard, que añade un toque de misterio a la historia con la desaparición de un libro sumamente importante, aquí, cada personaje tiene su momento para brillar, y juntos crean una atmósfera cálida y acogedora. Debo decirles que la escritura de esta autora es como una especie de susurro al oído: es fluido, natural, y está lleno de pequeños detalles que te hacen querer seguir leyendo y leyendo.. es casi como si una amiga te contara un pequeño chisme, la narrativa fluye con una sencillez que no resta profundidad, y la autora tiene un don para relatar escenarios que te hacen sentir que estás caminando por las calles de Londres o explorando los rincones de esta gran librería.

Además, también debo mencionar que hay cierto humor en toda la historia, acompañado de las situaciones entrañables.. es interesante como están presentes a lo largo de toda la novela, lo que la convierte en una experiencia realmente divertida y agradable, hablando un poco de los temas, esta historia aborda el amor por los libros y la literatura como su eje central, pero también toca aspectos interesantes como la búsqueda de un lugar en el mundo, la impotencia, y sobre todo la importancia de las conexiones humanas.

Estas conexiones se desarrollan de manera natural a través de los encuentros y las relaciones que va formando Agnes, es genial ver como empieza a relacionarse con los clientes de la librería, con sus compañeros de trabajo, y hasta con los personajes secundarios que aparecen brevemente, mostrando como cada interacción aporta algo valioso a su viaje personal.. debo decir que también hay cierto romance aquí presente, pero no es el foco principal, lo que se agradece, porque permite que la historia respire y se desarrolle de manera más orgánica, sin necesidad de esforzar situaciones románticas donde no caben.

Now, although I liked this book a lot, there are some points that could have been stronger, for example, the mystery of the book's disappearance could have had a deeper and more interesting development.. although it is a good sub-plot, I felt that this mystery was solved in a very rushed way and without the impact it could have had, also, some secondary characters, although charming, feel a bit flat compared to the main characters. If I had to recommend this book to a specific audience, I would say it's perfect for anyone who needs a break from reality, it's ideal to read on rainy days or when you just need something to make you feel good and relax.. if you are a fan of novels that celebrate the passion for books, endearing characters, and you like warm and fun scenarios, this book could be ideal for you, I give it a score of 4.5/5..

Although it has some small details that could be improved, I found the overall experience very comforting and enjoyable... I simply can't stop recommending it. It is a literary hug that leaves you with a smile from ear to ear and wanting to read much more of these characters, I will definitely look for more works of Monica Gutierrez in the future... and well, this would be all for today... Ahora, aunque este libro me gustó mucho, hay algunos puntos que podrían haber sido más fuertes, por ejemplo, el misterio de la desaparición del libro podría haber tenido un desarrollo más profundo e interesante.. aunque es una sub-trama buena, sentí que este misterio se resolvió de manera muy apresurada y sin el impacto que podría haber tenido, además, algunos personajes secundarios, aunque son encantadores, se sienten un poco planos en comparación con los protagonistas. Si tuviera que recomendar este libro a un público específico, diría que es perfecto para todos aquellos que necesitan un respiro de la realidad, es ideal para leer en los días lluviosos o cuando simplemente necesitas algo que te haga sentir bien y te relaje.. si eres fanático de las novelas que celebran la pasión por los libros, los personajes entrañables, y te gustan los escenarios cálidos y divertidos, este libro podría ser ideal para ti, yo le doy una puntuación de 4.5/5..

Aunque tiene algunos pequeños detalles que podrían mejorarse, la experiencia en general me pareció muy reconfortante y agradable.. simplemente no puedo dejar de recomendarlo. Es un abrazo literario que te deja con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja y ganas de leer mucho más de estos personajes, definitivamente buscaré más obras de Mónica Gutiérrez en el futuro.. y bueno, esto sería todo por hoy.. espero que les haya gustado esta reseña, nos veremos en las próximas.
