Me he dado cuenta que las ultimas reseñas que he estado compartiéndoles han sido la mayoría románticas. Así que he decidido que le día de hoy voy a hablarles de otro tipo de géneros literarios que me encantan y estan dentro de mis favoritos: ciencia ficción y distopia
Escogí la saga de Chaos Walking para esta reseña y de verdad estoy muy emocionada por poder comentarles mis opiniones de este libro y el universo que Patrick Ness creó para sus personajes.
I've noticed that the last few reviews I've been sharing with you have been mostly romance. So I've decided that today I'm going to talk about another kind of literary genre that I love and are among my favorites: science fiction and dystopia.
I chose the Chaos Walking saga for this review and I'm excited to tell you my opinions about this book and the universe that Patrick Ness created for his characters.

Narración y Trama/ Narration and Plot
La trama de este libro me atrapó como un anzuelo a un pez inocente e ingenuo. Me enganchó y no me dejó ir. Es sencillamente genial, interesante, llena de intriga, de acción, de nervios, de miedos, de preguntas… muchos elementos perfectamente colocados en la línea temporal de la historia para llevarme al borde de mi silla mientras leía. Fueron demasiadas las noches que no dormí por causa de esta saga.
The plot of this book grabbed me like a hook to an innocent and naive fish. It hooked me and wouldn't let me go. It is simply great, interesting, full of intrigue, action, nerves, fears, questions... many elements perfectly placed in the timeline of the story to bring me to the edge of my chair while reading. There were too many sleepless nights because of this saga.

El mundo donde está construida esta historia es fascinante, un nuevo planeta, una pequeña ciudad donde solo hay hombres, un virus que mató a todas las mujeres y hace que los hombres puedan escuchar y ver los pensamientos de los demás, me parece demasiado ingeniosa la manera tan creativa del escritor de mostrarnos este hecho y está tan bien logrado que avanza y se desarrolla junto con la historia.
El viaje de nuestro protagonista está lleno de acción y algo que me gusta mucho de esta historia es que no pierde su objetivo principal desde el inicio hasta el final, muy a pesar de las dudas de nuestro protagonista, sus miedos, y su poca experiencia en la vida, pues es tan solo un niño de 13 años.
La historia está contada desde la perspectiva de Todd y está muy bien logrado, incluso se torna divertido ver cuál es su perspectiva del mundo, de las personas, de las cosas, es un adolescente que está descubriendo que el mundo no es lo que pensaba y lo vemos lidiar con ello a lo largo de la saga.
La Narración de este libro de me hizo muy buena, la manera de presentarnos El Ruido y cómo este juega un papel muy importante dentro de este nuevo mundo. Definitivamente excelente.
The world where this story is built is fascinating, a new planet, a small town where there are only men, a virus that killed all the women and makes men able to hear and see the thoughts of others, I find the writer's creative way of showing us this fact too ingenious and it is so well achieved that it advances and develops along with the story.
The journey of our protagonist is full of action and something that I like about this story is that it does not lose its main objective from the beginning to the end, very much despite of our protagonist's doubts, his fears, and his little experience in life, since he is only a 13-year-old boy.
The story is told from Todd's perspective and it is very well done, it even becomes fun to see what is his perspective of the world, of people, of things, he is a teenager who is discovering that the world is not what he thought and we see him deal with it throughout the saga.
The Narration of this book was very good, the way it introduce us to The Noise and how it plays a very important role in this new world. Excellent.
Personajes/ Characters
Algo que me encanta leer es un buen desarrollo de personajes. Es de las pautas necesarias para que una historia sea buena: un desarrollo de personaje. Y efectivamente ésta historia lo tiene. En el primer libro de la saga vemos a Todd y a Viola como un par de niños asustados tratando de huir por sus vidas y entender el nuevo mundo, tratando de salvarse. Pero a medida que avanza la saga estos pequeños niños se van convirtiendo de a poco en personas maduras que no solo están tratando de salvarse a sí mismos, sino que también desean detener al mal personificado que es el Alcalde Prentiss.
El crecimiento de Todd y Viola en la historia se me hace increíble y eso que la historia no transcurre durante años, sino que son tan solo unos pocos meses. Además, la relación que se forma entre ellos es de las cosas más preciosas que hay, por Dios, es una belleza. Una relación que comienza sin querer, luego se transforma en cariño, luego en hermandad y finalmente en el amor más bonito del mundo. Mi nivel de empatía por estos personajes fue tan fuerte que los momentos en que están separados dentro de la historia fueron de agonía palpable.
One thing I love to read is good character development. It's one of the necessary guidelines for a story to be good: character development. And indeed this story has it. In the first book of the saga, we see Todd and Viola as a couple of scared kids trying to run for their lives and understand the new world, trying to save themselves. But as the saga progresses these little kids slowly grow into mature people who are not only trying to save themselves but also want to stop the evil personified that is Mayor Prentiss.
Todd and Viola's growth in the story is amazing to me, and that's because the story doesn't take place over years, but only a few months. Also, the relationship that forms between them is one of the most precious things there is, my goodness, it's a beauty. A relationship that starts unintentionally, then transforms into affection, then into a brotherhood, and finally into the most beautiful love in the world. My empathy level for these characters was so strong that the moments when they are separated within the story were palpable agony.

Mi personaje favorito es Todd. Literalmente me enamoré (lo cual no es correcto porque es un personaje ficticio de 13 años) pero el desarrollo de este personaje y sus sentimientos, sus motivaciones y cariño por Viola, todos fueron ingredientes para la receta del personaje perfecto. Por supuesto adié y aun odio al Alcalde Prentiss, terriblemente bien logrado, posiblemente el villano más cruel que haya leído. Odio supremo por este personaje.
My favorite character is Todd. I fell in love (which isn't right because he is a 13-year-old fictional character) but the development of this character and his feelings, motivations, and affection for Viola were all ingredients for the perfect character recipe. Of course, I loved and still hate Mayor Prentiss, terribly well done, possibly the cruelest villain I've ever read. Supreme hatred for this character.

Comencé a leer esta historia porque un amigo me tenía harta, me la recomendaba demasiadas veces y hablaba como un loco de ella y pues, mi cerebro curioso dijo: NI MODO. HAY QUE LEERLA. Y fue una excelente decisión de hecho. Este libro es igual de emotivo e interesante, tiene acción y tiene drama. La situación con el Ruido y todo el tema de los pensamientos es realmente fascinante y vemos muchas veces sufrir a los personajes porque no pueden ocultar sus pensamientos en los momentos cruciales. Todo es excelente hasta la última página del ultimo capitulo.
Cuando lo terminé inmediatamente entré en depresión post lectora y tuve un bloqueo lector durante meses, porque así soy yo cuando me enamoro muy fuerte de una historia (no seas como yo) y en mi tristeza encontré unos cuentos cortos que Patrick Ness escribió para que tengamos una pequeña idea de lo que sucedió después del final. Se los dejo por si quieren leerlos, están en inglés.
I started reading this story because a friend of mine had had enough of it, he recommended it to me too many times and talked about it like crazy, and well, my curious brain said: NO WAY. Everything is excellent until the last page of the last chapter.
When I finished it I immediately went into post-reader depression and had a reader's block for months, because that's how I am when I fall in love too hard with a story (don't be like me) and in my sadness, I found some short stories that Patrick Ness wrote to give us a little idea of what happened after the end. El primer libro de la saga El cuchillo en la mano tuvo su adaptación al cine con Tom Holland en el papel de Todd y Daisy Ridley como Viola. La película es un fiasco, pero si quieren verla les dejo una foto del poster. Aunque no me gustó nada la peli siento que Tom y Daisy son los rostros perfectos para Todd y Viola.
The first book of the saga The Knife of never letting go had its movie adaptation with Tom Holland in the role of Todd and Daisy Ridley as Viola. The movie is a fiasco, but if you want to see it I leave you a picture of the poster. Although I didn't like the movie at all I feel that Tom and Daisy are the perfect faces for Todd and Viola.
