Hola a todos, espero que estén súper bien. Hace algunas semanas no comparto alguna reseña por acá, lo cierto es que me he dado el tiempo de leer algunas historias y reflexionar un poco antes de compartir mis opiniones sobre ellas.

El día de hoy no les compartiré una reseña, sino una iniciativa que se me ocurrió y sería estupendo que se animaran a hacer, así me conocen y nos conocemos un poco más dentro del ámbito de los libros.

1-¿Cuál es primer libro que recuerdas haber leído de niño/a?

Tenía 11 años cuando “Los Elegidos” de Marianne Curley llegó a mis manos como regalo de cumpleaños. Desde muy pequeñita sentí afán por leer, sin embargo, leía cosas “pequeñas”, como cuentos infantiles, algunos párrafos de las columnas de los periódicos o textos de las enciclopedias de la escuela (me gustaba especialmente la sección de biología y la de arte). Los Elegidos es el primer libro de una trilogía de fantasía. Siendo el primer libro de 300 páginas que leía, me sentía algo abrumada, pero fue fácil tomarle el hilo a la historia; aun así lo releí años después y por supuesto, comprendí la historia mucho mejor. Al día de hoy no he conseguido los otros dos libros que conforman la trilogía, ni siquiera sé si se encuentren en PDF.

2-¿Cuál es el mejor momento para leer?

Creo que la noche es un excelente momento para leer, resulta beneficioso para tu cuerpo y tu mente desconectarte de los aparatos electrónicos y relajarte leyendo unas cuantas páginas de un libro. Eso es lo que yo suelo hacer, dedico una hora (a veces dos) antes de dormir para sumergirme en las aventuras o los misterios que puede embarcar cierta historia… Las tardes también son buenas para leer (al menos para mí), así que supongo que depende mucho del tipo de ocupaciones que la gente pueda tener y del libro que está leyendo (por ejemplo, si un libro me tiene enganchada, sé que no debo ponerme a leerlo si tengo otros deberes que terminar, sino, no podré separarme del libro XD).

3-¿En qué formato prefieres leer: digital, papel o ambos?

No tengo problemas en leer en digital, de hecho, gracias a ello es que podido expandirme en el mundo de la lectura, siendo que más de la mitad de mi biblioteca se encuentra en archivos PDF XD. Peeeero, sin dudas leer en papel es lo mejor, no hay nada más gratificante (al menos para mí) que pasar las páginas de un libro y oler el aroma que desprende, además, siento que puedo lograr una conexión más profunda con la historia con el solo hecho de palpar las hojas, y por supuesto, ¡resulta muy genial tener una biblioteca donde exhibir (y quizá presumir… al menos un poco xd) todos tus libros en físico! Así que diría que prefiero leer en papel.

4-¿Qué te distrae más cuando lees?

Generalmente hay mucho movimiento en mi casa, es por ello que cuando deseo leer me meto en mi habitación y mi familia entiende que no deseo ser molestada mientras estoy allí, sin embargo, algunas veces mis hermanos pequeños tienen el afán de entrar y hablarme de las cosas que suceden en sus videojuegos, o las últimas novedades en los videos de Youtube que han visto XD, los quiero pero no puedo prestarle atención a ambas cosas a la vez.

La visión es otro de los factores que suelen distraerme al leer, algunas veces olvido colocarme los lentes y no pasan 20 minutos cuando empiezo a ver las letras dobles, mis ojos empiezan a lagrimear pero aun así, no siento fuerzas ni ánimos de interrumpir mi lectura y levantarme para buscar los lentes, así que continuo un rato de esa forma hasta que mi vista no da más y debo ir a buscarlos.

En otras ocasiones puede ser el sueño, esto me sucede cuando leo por las tardes; soy una persona muy dormilona, así que, aunque yo desee seguir leyendo mi koala interior me obliga cerrar el libro y dormir al menos una hora para retomar energías.

5-¿Género favorito?

Romance por siempre y para siempre. Soy una romántica empedernida, muchas historias románticas me han hecho reír, otras me han hecho llorar, incluso algunas las he odiado, lo admito (cof, cof After), pero en general, me hacen muy feliz leer historias románticas.
Otro de los géneros que disfruto leer es el misterio, me encanta esa sensación de intriga y no saber en qué personaje confiar y luego POOF! Enterarme quién fue el verdadero culpable.

Por último, diría que los libros de análisis e inteligencia emocional (no sé en qué genero son clasificados); he leído algunos que me han abierto la mente con respecto al mundo que me rodea, me ha permitido crecer intelectual y personalmente y lo mejor de todo es que luego puedo hablar de ellos con mi papá y reflexionar un poco a cerca de los temas que pueden tratar.

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing great. It's been a few weeks since I've shared a review here, the truth is that I've taken the time to read some stories and reflect a little before sharing my opinions about them.

Today I will not share with you a review, but an initiative that I came up with and it would be great if you would do it, so you know me and we get to know each other a little more in the field of books.

What is the first book you remember reading as a child?

I was 11 years old when "The Chosen Ones" by Marianne Curley came into my hands as a birthday present. Since I was very young, I felt an eagerness to read, however, I read "small" things, such as children's stories, some paragraphs from newspaper columns or texts from school encyclopedias (I especially liked the biology and art sections). The Chosen Ones is the first book of a fantasy trilogy. Being the first 300-page book I read, I was a bit overwhelmed, but it was easy to pick up the thread of the story; I still reread it years later and of course, understood the story much better. As of today I have not gotten the other two books that make up the trilogy, I don't even know if they are in PDF.

2- What is the best time to read?

I think the evening is an excellent time to read, it is beneficial for your body and mind to disconnect from electronic devices and relax by reading a few pages of a book. That's what I usually do, I dedicate an hour (sometimes two) before going to sleep to immerse myself in the adventures or mysteries that a certain story can embark on... Evenings are also good for reading (at least for me), so I guess it depends a lot on the kind of occupations people may have and the book they are reading (for example, if a book has me hooked, I know I shouldn't start reading it if I have other duties to finish, otherwise, I won't be able to tear myself away from the book XD).

3- In what format do you prefer to read: digital, paper or both?

I have no problem reading digitally, in fact, thanks to it I've been able to expand in the world of reading, being that more than half of my library is in PDF files XD. But, without a doubt, reading on paper is the best, there's nothing more gratifying (at least for me) than turning the pages of a book and smelling the aroma it gives off, plus, I feel I can achieve a deeper connection with the story just by touching the pages, and of course, it's really cool to have a library where to display (and maybe show off... at least a little bit xd) all your physical books! So I'd say I prefer to read on paper.

4- What distracts you the most when you read?

There's usually a lot of movement in my house, that's why when I want to read I go into my room and my family understands that I don't want to be disturbed while I'm there, however, sometimes my little brothers have the urge to come in and talk to me about things happening in their video games, or the latest news on YouTube videos they've seen XD, I love them but I can't pay attention to both things at the same time.

Vision is another factor that usually distracts me when reading, sometimes I forget to put my glasses on and it's not 20 minutes later when I start to see the double letters, my eyes start to water but even so, I don't feel the strength or courage to interrupt my reading and get up to look for the glasses, so I continue for a while until my eyesight is not enough and I have to go to look for them.

At other times it can be sleep, this happens to me when I read in the afternoons; I am a very sleepy person, so, although I want to continue reading my inner koala forces me to close the book and sleep at least an hour to regain energy.

5-Favorite genre?

Romance forever and ever. I'm a die-hard romantic, many romance stories have made me laugh, others have made me cry, I've even hated some of them, I admit it (cof, cof After), but in general, they make me very happy to read romance stories.
Another genre I enjoy reading is mystery, I love that feeling of intrigue and not knowing which character to trust and then POOF! Finding out who the real culprit was.

Finally, I would say books of analysis and emotional intelligence (I don't know what genre they are classified in); I have read some that have opened my mind regarding the world around me, it has allowed me to grow intellectually and personally and the best of all is that I can then talk about them with my dad and reflect a little about the topics they may deal with.
