I think mystery is a bit of a complicated genre because there are so many variations. I started to enjoy it when I found myself inside the genre and I know what I'm looking for. If you still don't know where to start, let me teach you according to my process.

I didn't love it as much the first time because I was reading a lot of the same books by the same author and got a little saturated. But it's a good book. It's the third in a series of books about the same detective. You don't need to read the others, they are unrelated. There is some personal stuff about the detectives but you can understand it without the other books. It's a thriller so you know things that some characters don't and then you see the information converge.

The sequence of clues in this book are very good, they are of those details that when you add them up lead you to the culprit, plus Poirot is one of those detectives who at the end sits down to narrate the facts and I really like that.

It was a five star, it's an amazing book and very very funny. Plus you have the whole time the feeling of fear. The plot that Holly Jackson constructed is so good that it is totally believable that the main character solves the case as a teenager. Pippa raises the questions in your face, you can't stop thinking about who really did it.

It is very entertaining, it is by the same author of "One Of Us Is Lying", told in three perspectives and a past tense narration. You finish the chapters craving for more and I wouldn't have expected that ending even if it was God's illumination.

I reviewed this book recently on Hive, I didn't love the ending but the whole plot is good. Everyone is hiding a secret and the way the stories come together is very good. You have quite a bit of fun reading it. There are more secrets than family dramas here.

I couldn't talk about the genre without mentioning this book. At first I didn't love it because of a weird romance that happens, but they are gray characters, I accepted that they do weird things. The story is mind-blowing, it scares you, it disturbs you, at times you have to stop reading because you can't handle what you're discovering. Magic.
