The villain is generic, there are no changes that hook you and the ending is slightly pink. I always tell you about some character that stands out in my reviews, I'm sorry to say that on this occasion they were all meh

Happy Wednesday, bookhivers! I hope you had a great weekend. If you're a new reader, welcome, I'm Nieves, a hardcore reader addicted to romance, mystery and fantasy. Vanessa can't stop thinking about Richard, who until recently was her successful husband and her whole life; but more precisely, she can't stop thinking about his new young fiancée, Nellie. Will he be just as attentive to her? Does Nellie know she exists? Will he think about her fiancé's ex? His obsession grows more and more, he follows Nellie everywhere, studies her every move and can't think of anything but preventing the wedding. He wants to, he needs to. He won't live in peace if he doesn't succeed and, for all he knows, neither will they.

Let's start with the good: I found the style of the book excellent, because it is as confusing as the story; the authors are there tying up ends and weaving the plot in your face while you question if what you are reading is true, it hooks you into believing that some character is lying and I feel that if you are starting with thriller, it is a very good book.

I have to complain though, possibly not a valid complaint for everyone but Instagram ruined the book for me. There was a lot of gossip, a lot of entertaining marital trouble, but I was sold an amazing plot twist when in reality the ending is seen coming from the first few chapters. I wanted to believe I was being fooled, that plot twist was the reason I was reading the book, but the story is pretty linear and the ending didn't end up convincing me.

There are books with predictable endings, don't get me wrong, but with details that accompany the story between the characters or within the narrative. I hate to say it but "The Wife Between Us" was a pretty bland book for me and I'm aware that opinion is given by my unmet expectations (if you hear a crackle, it's my heart breaking).

The villain is generic, there are no changes that hook you and the ending is slightly pink. I always tell you about some character that stands out in my reviews, I'm sorry to say that on this occasion they were all meh.

As for product itself, I have to admit it's a 3.7/5 but based on my experience, I have to give it a 2.8/5. I wouldn't have read it if it hadn't been recommended to me.
Thank you for making it to the end of this review, it was a bit short today but it's a work that doesn't leave me much to talk about. Remember that if you have read "The Wife Between Us" you can leave me your opinion about it in the comments, I'll be reading it you. See you next week with a new story. Love <3
