Today I emerge from the pages of a book with a huge, sincere smile; I laughed so much.
Hello friends
Where the gnat laid its egg the laughter is endless. These are humorous pages for children of all ages, including all ages. They are written in verses of any stanza and meter.
This book was written by one of the writers I mentioned earlier, Jorge Luis Peña, winner of the Principito Award and a previous jury member in this same competition.
He's a writer from Puerto Padre, a municipality in Las Tunas. Jorgito specializes in children's literature, although he also writes for those of us who aren't so young, and he does so in an exquisite way.
The book I'm presenting to you today has been a hit in bookstores. It has had two editions, one by Gente Nueva and another by Sanlope. Both times, the book sold out in less than a month.
The edition I'm presenting to you, published in 2009 by Gente Nueva, was edited and designed by Yamilka Rabasa and Ileana Fernández. The illustrations and covers were by Raúl Martínez and Armando Quiroga.
I'm going to be sharing poems from this book with you so that those who speak another language can read them in translation. But from the beginning, I'm sharing some stories written in décimas (tenths of a poem) in the images.
So I'd like you to read this tenth in harmony with the moment.
Imminent Danger Alert
I inform reptiles,
and birds too,
that they must take good care
of sticks and projectiles.
To prevent thousands from dying,
extreme precautions must be taken.
They must move supplies
to the slender trees.
The children are now free:
vacation begins.
This is undoubtedly a way of saying that children are very mischievous, restless, and do many things to have fun during the holidays.
What do you think if I share another décima? This time it has three peculiarities: each verse has 13 syllables, not 8 as is the tradition for this stanza. Furthermore, all the words that impose the rhyme are proparoxytones, and due to the law of accent, a syllable is added, that is, the verses are 14 syllables long. It also includes assonant and non-consonant verses.
It may not be as clear in a language other than Spanish, but by looking at it in Spanish and seeing where the accent and tilde are, we can tell. I won't say any more and I present this décima for your consideration.
Impossible Love
There was a bumblebee who, in dynamic love,
launched one day into a poetic garden.
He admired the rose with its splendid stem
and called it "beautiful" in his chanting voice.
She prepared another magical flight on her wings
because she believed it to be the fantastic rose.
But the vain one remained static,
so indifferent, that she thought sadly:
"This is not my rose," and in her minimal flight,
she forgot about the plastic rose forever.

Hoy salgo de las páginas de un libro con una sonrisa enorme y sincera, he reído muchísimo.
Hola amigos
Donde el jején puso el huevo la risa es interminable. Son paginas humorísticas para los niños de todas las edades, incluyendo todas las edades. Están escritas en versos de cualquier estrofa y métrica.
Este libro lo escribió uno de los escritores que ya les hablé antes, Jorge Luis Peña, premio Principito y ha sido jurado otras veces en este mismo certamen.
Es un escritor de Puerto Padre, municipio tunero. Jorgito se ha especializado en la literatura para niños, aunque también escribe para los que no somos tan niños e igual lo hace de una forma exquisita.
El libro que hoy les propongo ha sido un éxito en las librerías, ha tenido dos ediciones, una por la Editorial Gente Nueva y otra por la casa editorial Sanlope. Las dos veces el libro se ha agotado en menos de un mes.
En la edición que les presento, hecha en el 2009 por Gente Nueva tuvo la edición y diseño de Yamilka Rabasa e Ileana Fernández. Las ilustraciones y cubiertas estuvieron a cargo de Raúl Martínez y Armando Quiroga.
Voy a estar compartiendo poemas de este libro con ustedes para que en la traducción puedan leerlos los que hablan en otro idioma. Pero desde el inicio les estoy compartiendo en las imágenes unos cuentos escritos en décimas.
Entonces me gustaría que leyeran esta décima acorde al momento.
Alerta sobre peligros inminentes
Comunico a los reptiles
y a los pájaros también,
que deben cuidarse bien
de palos y proyectiles.
Para que no mueran miles,
hay que extremar precauciones.
Deben mudar provisiones
a los árboles esbeltos.
Ya los niños están sueltos:
comienzan las vacaciones.
Indiscutiblemente esta es una forma de decir que los niños son muy traviesos, intranquilos y hacen muchas cosas para divertirse en las vacaciones.
Qué creen si les comparto otra décima. En esta ocasión tiene 3 particularidades; cada verso tiene 13 sílabas y no 8 como es la tradición en cuanto a esta estrofa, además todas las palabras que imponen la rima son esdrújulas y por la ley del acento se le suma una silaba, o sea, son versos de 14 silabas. También lo hace con versos asonantes y no consonantes.
Es posible que en otro idioma que no sea en español no sea tan claro, pero al mirarla en español y ver donde lleva el acento y la tilde nos podemos dar cuenta. No hablo más y les pongo a consideración esta décima.
Amor imposible
Era un abejorro que en amor dinámico
se lanzó un buen día a un jardín poético.
Admiró a la rosa con su tallo espléndido
y le dijo "bella" con su voz de cántico.
Alistó en sus alas otro vuelo mágico
porque la creía la rosa fantástica.
Mas la vanidosa se mantuvo estática,
tan indiferente, que pensó tristísimo:
"Esta no es mi rosa", y en su vuelo mínimo
se olvidó por siempre de la rosa plástica.
Con esta décima, cierro este libro donde me he perdido y compartido con ustedes un rato de mi día. Espero que lo hayan disfrutado y la invitación para perdernos en otras páginas ya está hecha.
