Melon Soup Recipe

Hello everyone. It's really exciting to be a part of the plant power community. As we all know, a healthy life starts with good feeding and that's why I'm always concern about what i feed on.

Today, I will be sharing with you a recipe on how to prepare melon soup which is also known as Egusi soup. The most exciting part about this meal is that it contain the six classes of food which makes it a balance diet. Melon soup is a popular delicacy in Yoruba land. It is a delicious delicacy and it is highly nutritious. I love this delicacy so much because it can be served with lots of varieties like rice, eba, semo, and pounded yam. I love to serve mine with pounded yam.

This meal is one of my favorite meal and i cant do without eating this delicious meal in a week.

INGREDIENT
•200ml of Palm oil
•1 spoon of Locust beans
• 5 pieces of Pepper
• 2 pieces of Onion
• 2 Seasoning Cube
• 1/2 teaspoon of Salt.
• 1 cup of Melon
• Vegetable (Spinach)

PREPARATION
• Place a clean pot on the hot plate or stove.
• Add Palm oil into the clean pot and allow it to heat for about 3-4minutes

• Add your sliced onions and locust beans and allow it to fry for about 2 minutes.

• Add the grinded melon and allow it to cook for 10 minutes

• Add your blended pepper and onion and allow it to cook for about 7-8minutes.

• Add seasoning cube and salt to taste, and allow it to cook for about 7-8 minutes.
• Rinse and Slice the vegetables and add the vegetable to the stew sauce and Stir, then allow it to cook for about 5 minutes

Wow..The food is ready💃💃💃

This meal is so delicious and highly nutritious. You can prepare this meal at your convenience and i believe a trial will convince you👌.

This recipe is very interesting, and well explained, however, we will make two observations regarding it:

  • Flavor cubes and instant soups are NOT vegan products, so they are not supported in veganism and you cannot use them in the recipes you present in this community.

  • If you read our community rules, you will see that we ask users, especially if they are new here, to appear cooking their dishes, that is, we want to meet them, see their faces while they prepare their recipes, so in your next posts in this community , we hope to see you making your recipes.
