This afternoon I had my young nephews visit and they can't consume spicy things yet, but I want to make snacks that they like, of course they have to be free from preservatives and flavorings. Because their visit was sudden, I had to look for ingredients that were still available in my refrigerator, and it turned out that I still had ingredients left, not too many but enough to make snacks for them. And I decided to make vegetable bakwan which has several combinations.
The ingredients used to make this Mushroom and Corn Bakwan are:
1. Ear mushrooms (the ear mushrooms I use are dried ear mushrooms which I then soak and in this recipe I use 2 dried ear mushrooms)
2. Corn (when I weighed the corn it weighed 200 grams)
3. 50 grams of bean sprouts
4. 3 cloves of red onion
5. 2 cloves of garlic
6. Celery leaves and leek leaves to taste
7. Salt to taste
8. 250 grams of wheat flour
9. 100 grams of rice flour
10. A pinch of black pepper
How to make :
1. The first thing I did was thinly slice the wood ear mushrooms that had expanded and remove the base of the mushroom with the woody stem remaining.
2. After that, I put the mushrooms in the same container as the bean sprouts because the bean sprout container is quite large
3. After that, I separate the corn from the cobs and put the corn kernels in the same container as the previous ingredients.
4. Then after that I added the wheat flour and rice flour.
5. Then I added salt
6. Then I sliced the celery leaves and leek leaves that I had washed beforehand and added them to the mixture.
7. After that, I crushed the shallots and garlic and black pepper and mixed with a little water then blended until smooth
8. Then I mixed the pureed ingredients into the dough and little by little I added water
9. Stir slowly until the mixture thickens and is not too runny like the texture below
10. Then correct the taste if it is still not salty enough, you can add more salt according to your wishes or taste
11. After that, heat the oil and fry the mixture using 1 spoonful of each mixture
12. Then after it turns yellow, remove and drain the bakwan. And the vegetable bakwan can now be enjoyed.
Because the vegetable bakwan that I make is not spicy for us adults, so if we want to enjoy it, we can add spicy soy sauce or sweet soy sauce for our bakwan friends. That's all and thank you for the recipe from me and greetings from me, Maytom, Indonesia

It's good that the children like these preparations with vegetables, that's not common here. They look good, and I like the option of being able to add hot sauce for those who like it. Thanks for sharing your recipe :)
yes you are right and you can add other vegetables that you like @lauramica
