How To Serve Fruit Salad With Simple Fruits

Fruit salad or often known as Rujak is a dessert that is in great demand by the natives in my area. Not only about the fruit sauce that is usually used for the salad, each region has its own characteristics.

Today I'm going to share a new menu for dessert in the wee with various kinds of vegan ingredients and lots of fresh fruits from nature.

An abundance of fresh fruit at home is something I really crave. I can process it into anything delicious to enjoy with my family and friends at work. Today I will make a dessert of fruit salad with a delicious combination of sauces. The fruit that I use is fresh fruit, all of which are gifts from my sister, except for cucumbers. So, some time ago my sister was harvesting mangoes and guava for the last time, so I was given some parts of the harvest.

Persimmon fruit or often known by its Latin name (Diospyros kaki L)is a fruit that I bought from street vendors who sell at low prices. Because he sells cheap fruit, I also bought a few fruit. Persimmons in Aceh are often called Gayo apples because they only grow in the Gayo highlands. However, this fruit is rarely in demand because it tastes different from apples, it's just that the shape is almost similar.

To make this fruit salad, I combine various fruits on one plate complete with a unique sauce. You will be amazed by the taste because it is really a very fresh flavor of fruit all in one. So, instead of being curious, I'll just prepare some of the ingredients needed.

Materials Used

  • 1 mango
  • 1 persimmon
  • 1 cucumber
  • 10 guavas

Sauce Ingredients

  • 100 grams of roasted peanuts
  • 15 bird's eye chilies
  • 5 Sunti Tamarind
  • Red sugar to taste
  • Candied palm sugar 2 spoons
  • 1 spoon of salt

Prep Step

Step 1

My first step was to prepare the rujak seasoning, starting to grind the cayenne pepper with salt first.

Step 2

Then I continued to grind the sunti acid coarsely. Then add the palm sugar, grind again.

Now after everything is smooth then add the candied palm sugar, stir then finally add the roasted peanuts. The sauce is ready to be used for mixed salads.

Then after the sauce is done I proceed to cut all the fruit, peel and wash it.

Then cut into small pieces of fruit. Now here I cut 2 versions of fruit size because I will make 2 serving methods.

Lastly, for the small pieces, I stirred the sauce evenly, while for the large pieces, I arranged them on a plate with the sauce separately.

Result

Fruit salad is ready to be served, this dish is a special menu that I usually enjoy with various types of fruit at home. The combination of sauce is the most delicious fruit salad dressing in my opinion, sweet, a little salty and spicy really fits my tongue. As a fruit lover I always love this one salad. The natural fruit cut doesn't affect the natural taste at all when combined with this special sauce.

Friends and I finished this salad in no time. My friend said the inj was very delicious. I was so happy when I finished my salad and he said it was delicious. Now for the fruit I get quite a lot of salad, about 4 servings of salad.
