My Veggie shopping|| Beets [Eng-Esp]

@sirenahippie, this time the purchase is related to beets, so I bring you to an establishment that I visit to make my entry to this contest, because honestly it is far from where I live, but it is very safe when using my phone, the prices are more affordable than the supermarkets downtown and most importantly I love their variety of fruits and vegetables, because they are very fresh, and I always trust that there I find what I am looking for every time I visit, it is a place known as "Tu Colonial", which is located on Gran Mariscal Avenue in front of Farmatodo, Cumaná edo. Sucre.

I tell you friends that beets are a vegetable that I include a lot in my daily menu, because it helped me keep my hemoglobin high and protect my liver during the process of chemotherapy, I also love its delicious flavor, and its great properties; where they highlight its high content of fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants, also contains carotene and folic acid and gives us few calories despite its sweet taste, I can tell you that I consume them in raw or cooked salads and juices because it is very refreshing and hydrates me.

The day to do my vegetable shopping is Saturday, but here on Tuesdays they bring the merchandise and I always get them very fresh, to choose the beets I make sure they have an intense color, that they are very smooth and medium size that for me are sweeter, they did not have a good price because in the market I get them cheaper, besides it is not their season, but I did not hesitate to buy them because when I touched them I felt them firm as I like them.

To preserve them, I wash them and dry them very well, I keep them in the drawer of the refrigerator, without letting water fall on them and not so cold. I can tell you that if we store them very well, they stay fresh for more than a week. This has been my purchase of beets, the price per kilo was $ 1,20. I paid Bs.40.50 equivalent to $1.10 for 0.91 Kgrs. I hope you liked it and I invite @marivic10 to participate.

Hoy nuevamente en el  reto vegano "TU COMPRA VEGGIE",  que trae a esta comunidad la amiga  @sirenahippie, en esta ocasión la compra está relacionada con la remolacha, así que los traigo a un establecimiento que visito para hacer mi entrada a este concurso, porque sinceramente me queda lejos de donde vivo, pero es muy seguro a la hora de utilizar mi teléfono, los precios son más asequible que los supermercados del centro de la ciudad y lo más importante me encanta su variedad de frutas, verduras y hortalizas, porque  son muy frescas,  y siempre confió que allí encuentro lo que busco cada vez que lo visito, se trata de un lugar conocido como "Tu Colonial", que está ubicado en la avenida Gran Mariscal frente a Farmatodo, Cumaná edo. Sucre.

Les cuento amigos  que la remolacha es una hortaliza que la incluyo mucho en mi menú diario, porque me ayudó a mantener mi hemoglobina alta y a proteger mi hígado, durante el  proceso de quimioterapias, también  me encanta  su delicioso sabor, y sus grandes propiedades; dónde destacan su alto contenido de fibra, vitamina C y antioxidantes, también contiene caroteno y ácido fólico y nos aporta pocas calorías a pesar de su dulce sabor,    les puedo decir que las  consumo en ensaladas crudas o cocidas y en jugos porque es muy refrescante y me hidrata.

El día de hacer mis compras  de vegetales son el sábado, pero  aquí  los martes traen la mercancía y siempre las consigo muy frescas, para escoger las remolachas me aseguro de que tengan un  color  intenso, que estén muy tersas y de tamaño mediano que  para mí son más dulces,  no tenían buen precio porque en el mercado las consigo más económicas, además no es su temporada, pero no dudé en comprarlas porque al tocarlas las sentí firmes como a mí me gustan.

Para conservarlas, las lavo y las seco muy bien, las guardo en el cajón de la nevera, sin dejar que les caiga agua y no de tanto frío. Les puedo decir que si las guardamos muy bien, estas se conservan frescas más de una semana. Esta ha sido mi compra de remolacha, el precio por kilo estaba a $ 1,20.
