Homemade white tofu and white radish sauce

Hello friends in Vegan community,Does friends have a lunch menu? If not, friends can try the following lunch menu. Today my family lunch menu is a sauce tofu with a white radish. A few days ago in the vegan community, I shared a post how to make white radish chips, it turned out that my family loved it, so today I will combine white radishes with white tofu. If there is no white tofu, friends can use other types of tofu.

The main ingredients I use are white radish and white tofu. The only spices I use are shallots, garlic, red chilies and tomatoes. Even though they only use the two main ingredients and makeshift seasonings, the taste of the tofu and white radish chili dishes is still delicious, this is because the way of making and cooking them makes the dish richer in taste.

INGREDIENTS

The whole ingredients that I use to make white radish sauce with white tofu are:

250 grams of white radish
20 pieces of white tofu
5 pieces of garlic
1 piece of Peking onion/5 pieces of red onion
100 grams of red chilies
3 tomatoes
1 tablespoon of salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 Pack of pepper powder
300 mL of cooking oil

PREPARATION

Before cooking ingredients, I will make preparations. I'll start with the main ingredients which are white radish and white tofu.

First, peel the white radish skin.

Then wash it until the sap is gone. When washing white radish, rub the white radish to speed up removing the sap.

Third, cut the white radish into a square shape or according to taste. You don't need to cut the white radish too thin, because if it's too thin, the white radish will crumble when fried.

Fourth, cut the white tofu in a square shape, dice, or according to taste. we also don't need to cut the white tofu too thin, so it doesn't fall apart during frying.

The next preparatory stage is processing the spices, how to process the spices will affect the taste of our dishes.

First, peel the skin of the Peking onion, garlic and remove the red chili stalks.

Next, wash the garlic, Peking onions, red chilies and tomatoes.

Third, chop the garlic, Peking onion, red chili and tomatoes. I'm going to grind it down using a mortar and pestle.

Fourth, mash the pieces of garlic, Peking onion, red chili, salt and sugar. I don't grind it too finely, but here's the secret to its delicacy, mashing it with a pestle and mortar will make the simple seasoning more delicious when sautéed. Don't forget to pound the marinade by mixing the sugar and salt, this is one of the techniques used to grind the marinade and break up the skin of the red chilies and onions.

Fifth, after the spices are roughly ground, then add the tomato pieces, mash again until the tomato pieces are crushed.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

After all preparations are finished, let's start cooking.

First, heat the cooking oil to the heat.

Second, fried the pieces of white radish to dry and brownish.

After drying and brownish, lift and drain the cooking oil.

Fourth, fry the white tofu until browned, we can fry it dry or semi dry, according to our taste. I like the taste of semi-dry tofu, so I remove it when the tofu is semi-dry.

Five, Heat 100 mL of cooking oil, then sauté the ground spices until fragrant and boils.

Six, after the marinade boils, add ground pepper according to taste.

Seven, add pieces of fried tofu and white radish.Stir until all ingredients are well blended.

Eight, cook all the ingredients until they boil and reduce the cooking oil content.

I did not add water to the cuisine, so that Tofu and white radish stay awake.

THE RESULT

The white radish sauce with white tofu is ready to be served. Serve with warm rice or as a snack.

I love tofu and I love how you share every time that good tufo recipe that makes me want to try but sadly tufo here in my area is very hard to find.

Yes, the children at home love tofu, so I always make various dishes with various recipes. Tofu is a nutritious food made from soybeans. I don't have to worry about the nutritional needs of children @luckylaica

Ohh I see. I heard that tufo has a lot of nutritional benefits and that great to know that you usually serve it to your kids. Hopefully, I can let my kids try tufo as well. Let me try to check next time if I can go to the mall.
