RE: My Relationship With Animals - From Being Our Companions And Our Teachers, To Being Our Healers

in Cross Culture2 years ago

Ah I love them myself. They can sense your soul @trucklife-family so no wonder they like you. We have a Rottweiler Red Setter cross. He was a rescue and he was treated badly as a pup . He was very sick when we got him but soon had him healthy through some hard work but I think rescues are so loyal because they know you helped them. So now he's a nervous giant but very gentle and great with the babies. They love a good look out the window waiting for daddy to come home.

I love the way different breeds have different jobs. I go up the fields with an alsatian (Uncles) , this fella and a bloody annoying Beagle (Fathers) who goes missing all the time chasing fox or deer scents. The alsatian loses his shit when the Beagle runs off because his job is to keep the group together. My fella stays close to me always. It's amazing to watch. Sometimes a Jack Russell joins us (mother in laws). And he would take on any of the above and win. Small man syndrome. 😂.
My friend had a depressed St Bernard in Craig and the vet told him all he needed was a job so they preorganised to send him up the field to the neighbour to collect a newspaper everyday after he is finished with it. My friend pays for the paper so everyone is happy. Isn't that just gas.

Love those shots and so good to hear about your beautiful canine companion. That is some mix, Freya our Rottweiler lab mix is just the best dog ever, we call her our nana dog, like the dog in Peter Pan, she really looks after us all.
Love to hear about all the dogs in your life as well, with all there wonderful personalities.
Yeah St Bernards are working dogs, that's amazing the job he has, clever vet. Cheers @blanchy xxxx
