A Day as a Psychology Student: Conditioning

It’s one of the most important challenge and grade when it comes to the major subject, the hardest part as a first year student (for me) is this task that we need to fulfill for the finals and proceed to the second semester. It’s a bit exhausting since our outputs and performance we’re so many that sometimes we cannot manage the time that fast, it’s a very difficult task for us and here is our last day of practicing our mice for conditioning!

This is our last day of practicing our mice for conditioning since tomorrow will be our day of performing the task. It’s a lot of pressure knowing our mice can’t run that fast since the estimated time should be 7 seconds only, our mice can run for 14 seconds or more so we really have to take the task seriously since it’s for our major. My classmates and me decided to practice the task together for us to monitor our seconds for each mice, we have a lot of fun but more pressured because most of us don’t get the estimated time. The task is a bit hard and need the consistency of the mice’s training, the conditioning is a bit hard but we needed to do it for three grade.

It’s nice to experience this activity since the last batch didn’t get to have this kind of task on their first year experience. What I really love about the activity is that we really have to do this with our classmates which we’re really a bond, a great way to have the teamwork and sharing ideas as one. The activity really needs a hard work and need a very long time to achieve it, it’s very challenging since our schedules were hectic and so many activities going on lately. Having this kind of project is really hard but makes you proud especially when you’ve done it, we made a very good progress since some of us can make it to 10 seconds least.

My classmates and I are very frustrated but a bit proud of our mice, it’s a very long journey for us since it’s for our finals. It is a great day and a very productive day for us, a little bit scared but overwhelmed because we kind of did it at least a little bit. After a tiring day, we bought some shaved ice to cool our minds and the hot weather also.
