Hive Meet Ups: One Good Thing

In an increasingly disconnected, key-board warrior, Covid-regulated, sterile kind of world, the One Good Thing I'd love to celebrate and honor today is an upcoming Hive Meet Up. 😊 Actually, it will be the 4th meet up for the Swiss Hivers! 😍

What's so good and important about physical meet ups?

I've attended a few here in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and they helped me to really grasp the DIVERSITY that exists here on this blockchain, and the really talented and amazing people it draws.

I love seeing the leadership that bubbles up at meet ups, and the sharing of information. Not everyone learns well from tutorials or complicated, techy posts. And the How To level on Hive takes some serious keeping-up with.

Thinking back on the Hive meet ups I've been to, I learned a lot about other communities, and people. I learned a lot about the travel peeps, and through that, and the inspiration from @gooddream and others, I became a regular user of the @pinmapple community. Heck, I even learned about Thai craft beer from that meet up!

Not all the great people I met at Hive meetups have stayed active on Hive, but they remain solid, personal friends. I like to think as the Hive price steadily climbs, many of those people will be easy to draw back into a regular posting habit.

Ultimately, we are people first, with personalities and quirks and the need to connect. We become better Hivers and better supports to one another when we can put a FACE to a Hive ID and can connect more deeply with their content for having some understanding of who the authors are.

Happy to see physical meet ups continuing around the globe!

Have YOU ever been to a real-time Hive Meet Up?

Would you like emulate the inimitable @nathanmars7 and initiate a Hive Meet Up in your community?

What would you most like to see happen at a Hive Meet Up where you are?

Grateful for Good Things, Every day.

@artemisshares is sharing ONE GOOD THING on Hive every day - things happening here on Hive, in the crypto community or simply in the big wide world out there. Cos changing our focus is the beginning of changing the world.

You always make me smile. I can never forget that it's precisely this corner of the blockchain that made me like this. Your constant encouragement to build community is probably what actually got me started. You're incurable ;) ! Sending much love

LOL... incurable. Yes, I like that. Over-giving is often derided as a fault, but it is also what defines community builders.

Lots of love flung right back to you..... x
