RE: Hive Post Deleted - I No Longer Support This Blockchain

The kinds of things going on around cryptocurrency are like an alternate universe compared to what's happening in the "normal world" -- you made a lot of great points in this presentation about how to use Hive and other systems to receive abundance from the universe. Your ability to manifest your own desired lifestyle in such a strong way is inspiring, it's very far from the norm of what I see when I talk to people my age that I know personally.

Do you see any common mistakes for new people on Hive? Right now I'm just posting content a few times a week, reading + responding to a bunch of posts that look interesting, and participating in some DAPPs like Splinterlands. Am I missing anything important?

Sort:

It certainly is a whole new world out here - technology is making the post-scarcity world of abundance pretty much a sure thing in my mind, it's just a matter of time. Open source everything, get 3D printing to the masses, and decentralize the storage, consensus, and decision making - boom Anarchist Star Trek :-)

Honestly, you're way ahead of the curve in that you're already interacting with various dApps & getting out to interact with other people's content, a lot of people don't ever get that far unfortunately :-P

I assume you've started exploring some of the different communities on HIVE as well?

What front-end are you using? (@peakd is my favorite for most of my interactions)

Have you gotten on any of the various Discord servers? (personally I dislike how much reliance on discord there is in this broader community)

We hope the new chat system and in particular Community Chats will help with that.
You're an admin on this community maybe you can see if the owner is willing to turn on community chat and preferred topics.

Anarchist Star Trek indeed lol. So far I am just using the basic hive.blog interface and following everybody who seems interesting. I am following a few communities and tried a few community projects, like Splinterlands has a weekly contest to post about a card of the week so I did one of those. It seems like there are a lot of contests and community themed posts that can be a good start to get some votes and meet people.

Honestly there are so many discords that sometimes I kinda avoid them now, I'm only in the Splinterlands channel for now. If you have any recommendations of other servers to join I'll definitely jump in.

Overall it seems like things make sense, thanks for the response. Seems like over time I will be able to integrate more of my creative activities into the blockchain world. I'll keep exploring the Hive :-)
