This summer I was struggling with my inner peace and quiet.
My mind kept on wondering and running on 200 km, jumping from thought to thought. We each have unique thinking patterns, that our mind wandering towards. For me it is a lot of thinking about the future, planning, imagine how things will be. Those constant thoughts if not well menage can very fast lead me to anxiety and pressure.
From the quiet moments of Yoga practice, I learned the importance of being less distracted and overstimulated. This is why it is so important for me to appreciate and cultivate quiet.
To take quiet moments throw out my day that can help ease my nervous system and balance. For example, washing dishes without headphones, Driving in the car with the radio off, eating without screens, resting on the ground with my eyes close. An so on…
A journey to becoming more open to the quietness, apprentice the natural sounds around me. Listen rather than talking all the time, and let myself be quiet without feeling uncomfortable.
This is a practice, and I always remind myself;
• progress over perfection.
• Patience and compassion.
• I do what I can today.
I wish you many quiet moments and inner peace.
