Spots of light

daisies bokeh biotar 2.jpg

Sometimes going out to shoot something is like a hunt for the little spots of lights. But not just any as few more conditions need to meet.
The spot of light, the darker background, something to shoot (those that can be arranged) and a lens that is willing to rock the bokeh.

The daisies were perfect and while the grass is not trimmed and they bloom away not caring that they are the smallest.
Humble little things...

Of course I can almost always count on dandelions. A weed that spreads uncontrollably and yet it is so often photographed. The fluffy seeds probably more often than the flowers itself.

The little bokeh bubbles you see on the picture below was another weed with extremely tiny white flowers. They did catch some sun and were transformed to bubbly bokeh.

I wish I had spray bottle with me. All the background would then be filled with shiny circles reflecting every little bit of light.

Ok, this is not a spot. The whole lavender was in full sun.
I just like how it all got washed around that one stem.

Bonus song:
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Henry Lee ft. P.J Harvey
year 1996

Heard it in a radio few days ago after many, many years. Probably since it came out and was played all over the places (together with the one where he sings with Kyle M., but this is better).

Charm!

Friend, the fourth image... Wow, it's a visual ode, a tiny and delightfully anarchic portent.... The myriad of unfocused little flowers, the dandelions almost as if transmitting movements, the lights like they wanted to advance... A lot of poetry could be made with this small variegated planisphere that you have enclosed in a single image... Obviously, it's a set of beautiful images, but in that fourth image the universe have "conspired in your favor"...

Wow thanks! :D
The lens should take a lot of credit for it. It is really awesome one and can change those simple things into a fairy tale.
Really glad you liked them :)

What a wonderful series!
Love DoF shots and these are great. thanks for sharing them with us.
The 50 1.4 does an amazing job, with this, too

Thank you! This lens was so easy to work with that almost anything looked good :D

@tipu curate

Thank you :)
Also for tipu.

Whether weeds or the most beautiful flowers, all of nature is worthy of being photographed. Of course, as you mention, the ideal conditions must exist to enhance the shots that are necessary. In the end, we are the ones who must capture that essence of nature and become it when photographing them. However friend, your photos are excellent and pleasant, greetings.

all of nature is worthy of being photographed

Very true!
And thank you :)

PJ Harvey, that's a name I haven't heard in awhile and accompanies your post nicely.

You're very welcome :D
I couldn't stop listening to that one yesterday...

I love the spot light shots with the dark background. So beautiful, especially the first pictures. Love it.

The dark background really makes you focus on those few little flowers, right?
Thank you :)
