Driftless Images Along the Mississippi River

Saturday means Hattie and dad adventure day, so we headed back to the Mississippi River to look for freshwater clamshells. It's a thing we got into last weekend; I, fortunately, knew of a spot where we could collect a few shells. I took some photos to share along the way, too...

The area is actually a small cove off of the main channel; the current is virtually zero here, so it's a perfect area to find driftwood, shells, and other treasures the Mississippi River yields to us land dwellers.

The sun was pretty bright this morning, so I tried to get a few photos of the river and the objects below it.

And, of course, we collected our shells to share with mom when we got home.

That's it for today's adventure. It was a hot one but lots of fun. No messing around whatsoever!

Thanks for stopping by to check out our adventure.
