📷 Children of Negros Island

in PHOTOGRAPHY [DAC]3 years ago

When we went on a diving trip to the island of Negros, Philippines, we basically just dived, and never saw the island itself, its cities and attractions, dozens of beaches, rocks and other interesting places, with the exception of those that were near our hotels ... It’s a bit strange feeling to be in a new country, on a new island, but to know that you don’t really see it.

Therefore, a couple of times we got out to the nearest town, or at least just wander not far from the hotel, through the woods and streets where the locals live. We saw Filipino children for the first time right next to the beach of our hotel: there were boats, fishermen were returning with fish, they were greeted by children — and there was such a noisy crowd. And among them was one girl who smiled very openly and happily and posed for the camera.

So when we went for a walk, I decided to take pictures of local children — they are always so emotional and funny, sincere and often more open to new people than adults. Of course, I also took pictures of adult Filipinos, but I will show them some other time.

What made me happy is that, in general, everyone is quite good about the fact that they and their children are photographed — many are smiling, posing, having fun. This is very good to see.

Someone makes funny faces from their window.

Someone very small sits in the arms of the mother and with all seriousness looks into the distance.

And this girl, like the best toy, hugs a huge bottle of some kind of drink. Funny :)

The children of Negros island are dark and black-haired, with an unusual appearance — but very cute, and when I look at them, try to talk to them, treat them with something, I want to believe that everything will be fine with them.

It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.
