This is a question many people have, In one of his teaching , Bro. Eli gave us a very clear answer. He made it clear that idol worshiping is against his wills and commandments so he does not listen to idol worshipers. Our God is indeed a very jealous God, he was very clear that we should never share his glory with any other person.
Idolatry is Darkness, and light and darkness can not mix together. So it keeps people away from God. We should only worship the true creator, and as Christians, we should worship the true creator in truth and spirit.
When we talk about idolatry, we don't mean Carved images, any thing that you value more than God is an idol. Be it wealth, and possessions.
The mercifulness of God is the Goodnews here, even idol worshipers can still be forgiven. If they can repent and turn away from their sins. As Christians ,we should also make sure the place of God in our heart is not taken.
May the word of God be blessed in us, and may we receive encouragement from the holy spirit in other to live a life that pleases God.
