15 And the LORD sent the plague upon Israel from the morning until the appointed time; And of the people, from Dan to Beersheba, seventy thousand men died. 16 And when the angel stretched out his hand over Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented of that evil, and said to the angel who was destroying the people: Enough now; stop your hand And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. 17 And David said to the LORD, when he saw the angel destroying the people, I have sinned, I have done evil; what did these sheep do? I pray that your hand may be turned against me, and against my father's house.
18 And Gad came to David that day, and said unto him, Go up, and build an altar to the Lord in the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. 19 David went up, according to the word of Gad, as the Lord had commanded; 20 And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming toward him. Then Arauna came out and bowed before the king, face to the ground. 21 And Araunah said, Why does my lord the king come to his servant? And David answered, To buy the threshing floor from you, to build an altar to the Lord, that the slaughter of the people may cease. 22 And Araunah said to David, Take and offer my lord the king whatever seems good to him; Behold, oxen for the burnt offering, and the threshing floors and the yokes of the oxen for firewood. 23 All this, O king, Araunah gives to the king. Then Araunah said to the king: Jehovah your God be merciful to you. 24 And the king said to Araunah, No, but for a price I will buy it from you; for I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God that cost me nothing. Then David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

At one point David decided to create an altar for the Lord, at that same moment in Jebusite he wanted to give David everything he would need such as oxen, land and everything he could need, but David was very clear that those sacrifices that cost nothing were not acceptable.
In this same way, the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, God's actions, was not free, that sacrifice of his son was the most costly thing anyone had ever done. Although we talk and hear a lot about the abundant grace of God, we understand that it is a gift from God and that it is absolutely free, that we have to do nothing to earn it and we overlook the great sacrifice and that the price has been very high. .
As a result of that gift, that abundant grace from God, we respond with love and make this love and grace of God known to other people. Generally after having received the gift, the gift of God we seem to lose interest, that is, we leave God for last or we prefer to invest more time for ourselves. For most of us, time passes before we remember that it is better to spend our time with God.
Let us strive to give God the best of us and not only what he lacks, such as attention or time that we usually neglect.

Saliendo entonces Arauna, se inclinó delante del rey, rostro a tierra. 21 Y Arauna dijo: ¿Por qué viene mi señor el rey a su siervo? Y David respondió: Para comprar de ti la era, a fin de edificar un altar a Jehová, para que cese la mortandad del pueblo. 22 Y Arauna dijo a David: Tome y ofrezca mi señor el rey lo que bien le pareciere; he aquí bueyes para el holocausto, y los trillos y los yugos de los bueyes para leña. 23 Todo esto, oh rey, Arauna lo da al rey. Luego dijo Arauna al rey: Jehová tu Dios te sea propicio. 24 Y el rey dijo a Arauna: No, sino por precio te lo compraré; porque no ofreceré a Jehová mi Dios holocaustos que no me cuesten nada. Entonces David compró la era y los bueyes por cincuenta siclos de plata.

En un momento David decidió crear un altar para el Señor, en ese mismo momento en Jebuseo quiso darle a David todo lo que iba a necesitar como bueyes, , tierra y todo lo que pudiera necesitar, pero David tenía muy claro que aquellos sacrificios que no costaban nada no eran aceptables.
De esta misma manera el sacrificio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el accionar de Dios no fue gratis, ese sacrificio de su hijo ha sido lo mas costoso que alguien hubiera hecho. Si bien mucho hablamos y escuchamos acerca de la abundante gracia de Dios, entendemos que es un regalo de Dios y que es absolutamente gratuito, que nosotros nada tenemos que hacer para ganarlo y pasamos por alto el gran sacrificio y que el precio ha sido muy alto.
En consecuencia a ese regalo, esa gracia abundante por parte de Dios respondemos con amor y damos a conocer este amor y gracia de Dios a las demás personas. Generalmente despues de haber recibido el regalo, el don de Dios pareciera que perdemos el interés, es decir, dejamos a Dios para lo último o preferimos invertir mas tiempo para nosotros. A la mayoría se nos va el tiempo antes de que nos acordemos que mejor es invertir el tiempo con Dios.
Esforcémonos a dar a Dios lo mejor de nosotros y no solo aquello que nos sirva, como la atención o el tiempo que usualmente descuidamos.
