Looking from 1 Peter 2:21, this gives a deeper understanding of what it really means to follow the example of Christ.
So many people today misunderstand what Jesus led for us. They think that when we follow his steps, it means performing miracles, healing the sick and giving sight to the blind or walking on water.
But as Bro Eli has beautifully explained, those acts were not just meant to be copied, but these are the moments where Jesus was exercising his divine nature. He did not suffer while performing miracles. This is the example that Jesus Christ left us to follow his fount in his suffering.
It is in the way he lived as a man, which is to endure pain, hunger, tiredness and sleepless nights for the sake of fulfilling the will of God. He deprived himself of comfort and pleasure. This is the main purpose. Because we could be fulfilled in him.
That is an example of a military and German sacrifice that two Christians are called to imitate. As a follower of Christ, it means denying ourselves, being patient in suffering and being faithful despite the comfort. Through discipleship, it's not just about power. It's about obedience, service and love.
