It's another wonderful time in the Mass Indoctrination program. One of the things highlighted in today's topic is prayers. As people of God, there is a way that is expected of us to prayer. There are other religions as well that we are familiar with. One common factor of all these religions is the aspect of prayer. It is expected of most religions, if not all, to make prayers to the deity the believe in.
However, as Christians, there is a way we pray that identifies us as God's people. Some people who claim to be Christians actually make prayers the wrong way.
Matthew 6:5 - And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
So we see here that there is a hypocritical way of praying. People who make such prayers actually believe that God accepts such prayers, but on the contrary He does not. The next verse which is chapter 6 told us the proper way to pray. When we pray we should bear in mind that it is a conversation between we and God. Prayers are not made for the purpose of proving a point.
Other passages discussed in today's teaching are:
Ecclesiastes 5:1, Isaiah 65:24, 1 Peter 2:1, Ecclesiastes 7:27, Mark 11:25, John 4:1
It was nice having you in this MCGI Mass indoctrination lesson, prayer is one important doctrine of God.
