Inviting others to your faith is a noble idea but only if you’re absolutely sure that you're walking on the right path yourself. Before trying to convince your loved ones to join your religion, you must first confirm that what you practice is truly aligned with God's will.
Why is this important?
Because if you're not certain, you may unintentionally lead others astray. Within you , you might think you are helping them find salvation, but instead, you could be guiding them in the wrong direction. Even worse, you could become a tool used by the enemy to win souls not for God, but away from Him. And you wouldn’t even realize it.
This is why certainty matters.
It’s not just about passion or tradition. It’s about truth. And the truth must be carefully sought out in God’s Word. Only when you're confident that your belief and practice match biblical teachings should you begin to share it with others.
Proverbs 11:30 says:
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”
Yes, soul-winning is a wise and righteous act. But wisdom also tells us to examine ourselves first. Is my faith based on Scripture or on man-made traditions? Am I truly obeying God’s commands, or just following the crowd?
It’s even safer to pause before convincing others. Reflect. Study. Pray. And confirm the truth for yourself. Once you are grounded in the right doctrine, then you can boldly and lovingly invite others to join you in walking with God.
