When we experience a ugly or a helpless situation, which seems as though we have no one to call, At that moment our only hope should be GOD. He is the only one we can turn to, the only one we can trust, in those times of our helplessness God is our only last resort. Praying or calling on GOD is one of the doctrines of our lord Jesus Christ . Praying is a commandment of Christ , praying should be in accordance with the word of GOD The fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much ( JAMES 5:16) , But some prayers are just in vain ( John 9 : 31) .
The right manner of praying that is in accordance with the word of God are ,:
When we pray do not use vain repetitions, Matthew 6 : 7 -8. ( Isaiah 65: 24), it is prohibited by GOD .
When praying we should not be like the hypocrites who always stand to show people when praying.( Mathew 6 :5) prayer should be a private issue or discussion between God and man.
Forgive anyone who offends you so that our prayers to GOD will be answered. ( Mark 11: 25). We should knee down when praying, if the situation allows it .( Mathew 26 : 39 ), The early Christian when they pray they also knee down ( Acts 20 : 36 ). We can pray sitting down when we are about to eat according to Mathew 15 : 34–36.
When a woman is praying, she should have a covering on her head, for when she prays without covering her head she Dishonored her head before God (1 Corinthians 11: 5 ) and if a man pray, his head should be uncovered ( 1 Corinthians 11: 7–10 )
