What does the bible say about sleeping together before marriage || The Old Path || MCGI

Todays premarital relationships between men and women now normalise sex as part of the relationship. God has directed man to multiply and subdue the earth at creation but should be in a consented and blessed union. People that are in relationship but not marriage should learn from the kind of relationship which Joseph and Mary kept before their marriage. Everyone knew they were in a relationship but mary was still a virgin till their marriage.

Matthew 1:18-20 (KJV)

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

The bible instructs that a man should be married and stay focused on his family and not to sleep around before or after marriage

1 Corinthians 7:1-2 (KJV)

1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
