Greetings everyone, I welcome you all to my blog.
It's another great day to listen to the word of God by his servant Bro Eli Soriano.
Many times, we question and complain about the number of prayers we have offered to God without seeing visible answers. There are moments when we feel empty within, as though our connection with God has weakened. In such moments, we begin to believe that God is far away from us. But the real question we should ask is this: Is God truly far from us?
The truth is that God has never moved or abandoned us. He has always been where He has been close to us and with us. The distance we feel is not because God walked away, but because we chose a different path, one that led us away from Him.
This can be explained through the illustration of a father who built a house as a permanent home for his family. In that house, his children were born, raised, nurtured, and guided to become great in life by following in their father’s footsteps. While living with him, the children enjoyed his care and protection. Whenever they faced difficulties, they could call on their father, and he would immediately attend to their needs.

Over time, some of the children felt mature enough to choose their own paths and desired freedom from their father’s close guidance. They decided to leave their father’s house to live independently, even though it went against his will. Though they enjoyed their freedom at first, they soon encountered the same challenges of life. They continued calling their father for help, but things were no longer the same because they had chosen to live far away from him.
In the same way, we as humans have the freedom to make our own choices. When we choose sinful lifestyles and paths that go against God’s will, we distance ourselves from Him, and those choices always come with consequences. Our sins create a disconnect between us and God, making us feel far from Him.
Until we recognize this and return from the sinful path to the place God expects us to be, that feeling of distance will remain. Yet one truth stands firm: God did not go anywhere. He remains right where we left Him, always ready to welcome us back when we choose to return.
