Jesus Christ wouldn't have taught us religion if we do not need religion for salvation. We need religion. Religion is important for us to be saved. We have a problem with the concept of religion because we do not know what the word “religion” really means.
Religion means worship. It is a way of worship. We must be connected to God if we want God to save us. We must worship God. So we need religion. The way we do and practice our acts of worship is religion.
This religion is what reconnects us with God. Religion offers us the opportunity to be drawn close to God. We do need to reconnect with God. We need to straighten out our crooked relationship with God. Religion is what gives us the privilege to do so.
We do need religion. Let us make our worship acceptable to God. Let us worship God in a way that will be acceptable to him. Let us serve and worship the true God. Worshiping idols is not the true religion. That does not lead us to God.
We really need religion for salvation
