Why do we sometimes feel we are far from God? (Part 2 of 2) | The Old Path

Bible reference: Malachi 3:7

There are situations where we find ourselves making prayers to God to it seems like they are not being heard. This often leave us with the impression that God has abandoned us. This is actually not true. God is the one that leaves us, we are actually the ones who depart from Him.

Malachi 3:7 - Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

It is in our human nature to be rebellious. Right from old, man has been seen to wander away from God's path. Certain lifestyles that we display is capable of taking us away from God. We are not to blame God for the distance created between we and Him, we are to blame ourselves for it.

But it is not too late to correct things. God is ever ready to accept us back with open arms. God is admonishing us to return back to Him, to return back to His ordinances because we have failed to keep them. We God in our lives we expose ourselves to the dangers of this world. Most people who experience all manner of evil are those who walked away from God's ordinances.

It is only by us returning that will guarantee us God's covering which provides security over our lives.
