Is watching movies a sin?//Mcgi Topic Review

Movies are influential in the mentality of people that are addicted to watching movies. They are influential, especially in the society as a whole. Our society sometimes is being molded by the kind of shows that the society watches.

Are there dangers in watching movies? There is.
Movies are being used by Satan in influencing the entire world. Let us read 1 John 2:15.
Movies create or tickle the lust of the eyes. There are movies that make you lust through your eyes. That is one danger of watching movies.

Other things are the insemination of unrighteous thinking and ideas in life, like not being ashamed of being a womanizer, sometimes being pictured in a movies wherein the actor is portraying the role of somebody who is a womanizer, or sometimes the lead lady is portraying the role of an infidel wife or a play girl, a girl that has so many partners. Those are the ideas in movies that are dangerous to human thinking and to the principles of simple people like Christians.

Christian are simple people with simple teaching. Let us read in the book of II Corinthians11:3 . The minds of christians are simple minds. And these simple minds can be corrupted by the ideas that you may see in movies.

I wonder if a Christian, living in the life of a real christian, will still have time to watch movies. Because you see, I have responsibilities every day, almost everyday, I have responsibilities. Sometimes I just have about 15 or 10 minutes to watch international news, watching films. Sometimes I also want to watch educational movies, like films about the universe, science and so on.

And mind you, if you are really a Christian, the Bible is there for you to read. There are preachings that you have to watch. I wonder why you can still have enough time to indulge in watching movies if you are truly living a Christian life. But if that is the case that you have time, and your time will allow you to watch movies, you can be watching scientific movies, documentary

Those are all my suggestions, I wonder why there are so many asking me, “ can I go to a movie house? Can they watch movies?”. Why not use those times to read your Bible and study it to enrich your heart, your soul and mind of the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ?
