This would be my very first social media challenge post this year because I didn’t really play the game for like a month which is not like me, and due to some unforeseen and personal reasons. However, I’m back now, and I will say bigger and better. I had powered down my sps last year because I really needed it, So starting the year, I decided I would build back from scratch. I decided to get about $11 worth of dec, which I used In renting a good number of cards and SPS for the season. I planned on going in big and playing like my life depends on it because I want to get to the Championship league by march. So I have to put in all the work right now. It has not been easy though having played 75 games so far, and won only 36 lol. This is a bit below the norms for me because I’m normally at an average of 52.8% win rate unlike what I have here (48% win rate). I think I’ve become rusty after a month of not playing, but I believe I’m finding my footing little by little.
Although I started the game at a loss, and even had a losing streak, and for a while I thought something was up with the algorithm because the game wasn’t loading fully and would stop displaying the battle but displays every other thing. The reason I thought something was up was because I started losing consistently when it stopped loading the game. I am normally the kind of player who likes to watch and review a battle so I don’t make a mistake more than thrice lol. But Since I wasn’t able to watch the battle, I wasn’t able to learn anything. I would have to report this issue to support hopefully so I can know if it’s just my network, or some technical issues that they need to fix.
My battle log however and other pre match and post match logs seem to be working very well, but I have not been able to play or replay my battles since morning. Okay not the entire morning, but a good chunk of it. Well I’m waiting to see if there will be any improvement on it so I can be able to review my battles fully and see where I faulted in my losses because there were a few formations I was pretty sure should get me a win after seeing the results and the cards that my opponents used. I believe there are always explanations to these things so I’m hoping the issue is resolved soon so I can review my losses again.
Knowing I always like to leave something for newbies coming up, I discovered in the games I’ve been playing since yesterday that speed isn’t everything. You can have fast cards, or your opponents can have fast cards and still end up losing. I think it’s the thing about strategy, imagine having monsters with natural speed but thorn abilities facing off with swift abilities. It’s obvious that no matter how swift they are, they can’t outrun the thorns, and if the thorns got lots of health and healing abilities the chances of winning are very high. At that point endurance would be what wins the battle. How I wish I could share an exact battle to show this, but I’ve fought about 75 and don’t know from mere looking at the opponent the exact battle ith the lesson. Hopefully I will share it in my next post.
Truth be told the splinterlands game is very unpredictable, but that’s just what makes it fun and if you think you will like to try out all the amazing experiences, feel free to join in here
