A long time ago I was near Trieste for work so I took the opportunity to pay a visit to Muggia, a splendid village in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region defined by many travelers as the figure of Venice because in part it recalls the lively atmosphere colored with the Venetian streets.

I must say that I really liked it as a picturesque village and me and I also loved the delightful internal harbor but above all the stroll along the narrow streets of the town.

A useful information for perhaps a tourist who wants to come and visit it is the fact that it is connected by an excellent efficient bus service and very cheap and then the tourist attractions are all present in the historic center with the gothic-style cathedral and the small port. where it is possible to see many fishing boats attacked then there would also be the castle to visit which I could not visit for reasons of time but which is definitely worth it.

Of course it is similar to Venice because here in the areas we are approaching Slovenia, however, they were areas of the Venetian republic.

I am only sorry that I have not been able to have a fish-based lunch because I am sure that in these parts since I have seen several restaurants they will certainly do it good.

I hope I have made you discover a new place in Italy, a place where scenic beauty blends with the culinary goodness of the area.

Thanks for reading
