Riding the Washington Metro - Ride and Station Impressions

in TravelFeedlast month

We had visited Washington DC before and I had noticed the cool looking Metro stations, but we never had the chance to ride the Metro as much as we did during our whole month in the city.

Our house sit was in Brookland, which meant we took the train to Union Station several times. And we loved it every time, especially the elevated views as we zipped along the Amtrak tracks closer to Union.

Stay tuned for a detailed video of our ride from downtown Washington to Dulles Airport in the next few days.

Train travel was our main means of transport, something to admire are the countries that have kept the tracks maintained still transporting people to and fro.

I would love to see a great train system to return to the US. It actually would make tons of sense!

I need to spend a bit more time around trains and train stations. Where I live, we just don’t have that much access.

There are some really epic train journeys out there. For us train travel is the best!
