| Blanc bleu, bleu blanc, voici les seules couleurs, ou presque (!) que vous verrez en vous promenant dans les rues de Sidi Bou Saïd. Village perché à proximité de Carthage dont je vous épargnerez l'histoire étant donné que j'en ignore tout ! Mais le simple fait de marcher dans les rues de la cité, de préférence en hiver à l'abri des touristes et des vendeurs trop pressants, vous posera déjà dans une ambiance très spéciale. Les murs, les ruelles, le travail des soudures, des boiseries, les intérieurs des maisons si vous avez la chance de pénétrer dans l'une d'elles, l'harmonie de l'ensemble, et évidemment, les portes. Du bois, mêlé à un travail de clous, de pierre, de mozaïque, et l'impression incroyable que derrière cette porte que vous n'ouvrirez jamais, se cache quelque chose que vous n'imaginez pas...! Peut-être, peut-être pas... Derrière certaines portes, un royaume de finesse, d'aménagements choisi sur le tri, où tout y est propre et ou tout rappelle l'Histoire. Derrière d'autres, une paire de chaussures qui traine, un chat qui sort de sa gamelle, une odeur de cuisine un peu trop huilée, et des bois qui auraient bien besoin d'un bon entretien. Ou pas ! Ce qui est sûr, c'est que chaque porte a vu passer l'Histoire de la ville et a su rester ferme pour la conservation de cette tradition. |
White blue, blue white, these are the only colors, or almost (!) you will see when walking through the streets of Sidi Bou Said. Village perched near Carthage whose history I will spare you since I do not know everything! But the simple fact of walking through the streets of the city, preferably in winter sheltered from tourists and too pressing sellers, will already put you in a very special atmosphere. The walls, the alleys, the work of the welds, the woodwork, the interiors of the houses if you have the chance to enter one of them, the harmony of the whole, and obviously, the doors. Wood, mixed with a work of nails, stone, mozaic, and the incredible impression that behind this door you will never open, hides something you do not imagine...! Maybe, maybe not... Behind some doors, a kingdom of finesse, arrangements chosen on the sorting, where everything is clean and or everything recalls history. Behind others, a pair of shoes that is hanging out, a cat that comes out of its bowl, a smell of cooking a little too oiled, and woods that would need good care. Or not! What is certain is that each door has seen the history of the city and has been able to stand firm for the preservation of this tradition. |
