Drive through Rough roads to reach this beautiful place

PataBandha.png

Patabanda Waterfall is one of the best waterfall around Daringbadi and is around 10 kilometer far from the main area. Since we had two days booking, that did not fit to the Eco Retreat group itinerary , we decided to make our own plan and visit the places that was more interesting and this was on the top of the list. The road goes through several villages and scenic, but was very rough to drive. But once we reached there, it felt like we took the right decision.

The rocks on which water flows are usually slippery and need to be carefully checked, a little mistake can cause irrecoverable damages, thankfully I was holding Sara tight, else she would have slipped from the top as you see above. The height is not big, and could be 10 ft, but these are solid rocks and slipping and falling on them with speed can be damaging. Kids learn from these experiences.

So who took this photograph if all of us were on the top ? I requested someone who was down and he did not know how to click, so I asked him to hold and click many, and only two came our right out of may be more than 100 clicks 😉

When you have plenty of plain area around a waterfall, having water flow all across, its most suitable for picnic and we saw many groups cooking and eating there. I felt like cooking there would be fun as you will spend the entire day - so this is on our list in the next visit, if it happens. It's always easy to plan and go to any place second time with all the preparation to enjoy to the fullest.

The source of the waterfall is far inside as you see.

And this is the only bridge connecting there 😄 and we had to wait for our turn. Kids managed to go with little support, but then I had to give her my hand. And then we had to go through a difficult path, that initially no one was agreed to complete, but I forced upon saying, we should complete the adventure, if we have come this long. And finally look at that.

Now you can imagine, why the the entire area was private to us, no one else tried to come this far. We quietly spent a lovely time till the evening approached. That feeling of the ambience and nature is so unique - it's like you can smell the difference.

Coming back, the kid wanted to make it easier and prepared support - these things can only be learnt on ground, I was happily watching he doing it on his own.

We had to come back as the evening was approaching, and the road to return was not good, but it was feeling like staying back - lucky are those people who stay in these places.

Sara needed some helping hand here.

But they both passed the bridge with the support he built. However the lady was still not comfortable and I had to fully support her.

One last memory of the place - a video of the place to feel it virtually, a bathe at the fall would be blissful but may be risky as well, that could be the reason, no one was going that far :

Unfortunately tourists throw all the waste outside and there is no proper waste management - hopefully the administration implements some control soon, they charge a small toll at entry, may be increase that and divert part of it for cleanliness.

Lovely place to spend time with the loved ones. I had love dip my hands into that water in order to enjoy the coolness and calmness of it.
It is always nice to make out time, go to places and spend it the loved ones.

What wonderful photos. The 2 out of 100 clicks is very funny, and I didn't expect that in this day and age. I really like how the rock formations add character to the waterfall, and gives it a zen like feel. Thank you for sharing these.

2 out of 100 clicks.. thats 5% success rate.. not bad! 😉😎✌️

i like that heart layout.. looks nice!

All pictures are great and it is always fruitful to go to such a great place 😀

What a beautiful family outing, the place is beautiful and by the happiness on everyone's face it is evident that they had a great time
What a shame that there are people who do not take care of it and throw garbage anywhere, ruining the beauty of this natural wonder.
Have a beautiful Sunday

The waterfall was amazing sir. Glad you and your family made a plan to visit the place and be able to share it here. Worth the visit.

Unfortunately tourists throw all the waste outside and there is no proper waste management -

I hope so sir that the government will take action since the place is beautiful and it needs proper maintenance.
