THE END OF MY TEMPORARY ESCAPE⏳⌚: GOING BACK TO REALITY😔📖

in TravelFeed18 days ago

Hello there, friends! How are things going? I hope you've been doing fine these past few weeks. Today, I'm going to share with y'all how I went back to my original place after visiting and taking a quick escape at my father's hometown.

After a 4-day trip to the southern part of Visayas, named Baclayan, Boljoon. We have to immediately go back to the northern part, where we actually live, because we still have an upcoming final examination the next day. I was a bit worried if things would go exactly as planned since I don't have enough time to study 10 subjects in 1 and a half days. Fortunately, my luck didn't leave me when I needed it the most.

The night before our trip back to our original home, my relatives and I visited a resort called "Serene Oasis Resort" in Oslob, Cebu, and stayed for the night there. Don't worry, I will be uploading a blog about this place soon. Going back, around 8 a.m., me and my dad waited for a bus back at my grandma's house because we still needed to pack our things. We have to travel earlier than my other relatives because our home is so far from theirs.

After packing our things, we bid farewell to my relatives dogs and kiss their foreheads to show our love for them. They kept on wiggling their tails and barking at us as if saying goodbye to us too. We're surely going to miss them because we still don't know when we're going back.

My sister was really hugging her favorite dog for the last time.

3 hours of traveling went by, and we're finally at Cebu. Before taking another bus that is going to the north, we decided to eat lunch since it's already 1 p.m. and we're already hungry. We just stopped by the Emall and went to a Jollibee fast food chain since my sister was craving Jollibee at that moment. While my dad was still ordering our food, me and my sister were patiently waiting at our chosen table.

And finally, after minutes of waiting, our food has finally arrived. I just ordered a simple spicy chicken with peach mango pie. My sister and my father ordered two chickens and French fries. We didn't order much to avoid vomiting in the bus because it would be hella embarrassing.

After eating and cooling down, we got up and headed to a northern bus terminal. I just knew that our travel time would take at least 3–4 hours, and I needed to be patient. While we were waiting for the bus to operate, I was just admiring the buildings and the clouds that I was seeing. I suddenly started reminiscing about the memories I had back when I was still a city girl.

Because of boredom, I took a nap for about an hour, and when I woke up, I kept myself busy by looking at the windows while listening to music until our bus was finally at Danao (where my older brother is located because he's now a college student and living in his own apartment). I just took a picture of their sign that says "Sidlak Danao". I also noticed how calm the ocean was and how clear the sky was.

Later on, I felt a little bit hungry, and good thing my dad bought us chicharon to eat in the meantime.

If I can correctly remember, the time is 5 p.m., and we can clearly see that the sun is about to set and will be dark sooner or later. It was so magnificent to watch how beautiful the sunsets were.

Around 6 p.m., we were almost at Bogo City, and I was so happy because we were so close to getting home.

I was indeed so happy when we finally got off the bus and got to see our place. I just realized that San Remigio is about to celebrate their own fiesta; that's why there were so many lights that served just like the bandaritas.

Getting a quick or temporary escape from everything is not bad. It is like you were giving yourself a moment to breathe from the stressful reality and enjoying every moment of your escape, knowing that one day you will be back seeing and experiencing reality again. But I'm not saying that you should always neglect or reject reality, because this 'reality' will help us grow as individuals and will teach us so many lessons that we will always remember once we're getting older. I like the reality that I am in, but I was deeply in love with the escape that I once had.
