My Tour In Lesbos Island - Part 1: Arriving In Ayvalık, Balıkesir, Türkiye [ENG-TUR]

in TravelFeed13 days ago (edited)

Hi Friends

After the series of travel posts about my tour in some Cyclades Islands of Greece, I have started one more brand-new travel posts series today. My main holiday destination this year has been Greece and the Greek islands, which have been constantly on the agenda in our country. In the first week of September, I went on a two-day, one-night trip to the Lesbos island of Greece, (Called Midilli in our country). I have edited and completed the photos and texts about my trip to Lesbos island. I think to share a post every week. I hope you enjoy reading it, thank you in advance.

As I mentioned in my travel posts last year, I don't like the vacation format that goes between hotel, sea and foods. I want to discover new places at homeland or abroad as much as possible. Before the pandemic, I traveled abroad every year. However, the pandemic caused millions of people, including me, to change their travel plans for at least 2 years. After the pandemic, it was time for me to start traveling abroad. Last year, I did this by going to Thessaloniki, Greece. My second choice for an abroad vacation this year was Greece again. I will write about arrival in Ayvalık in the first part of my Lesbos island travel post series.

Pandemiden önce her yıl yurtdışı seyahatleri yapan biriydim. Lesbos adası gezi yazısı serimin birinci bölümünde sizlere Ayvalık’a varıştan bahsedeceğim.

In 2023, I took my first travel abroad after the pandemic. I wanted to continue this hobby this year as well, and I will continue doing so as long as global, national and financial conditions allow. As I mentioned in my previous travel post series, we had completed the visa procedures in the spring and received our visas. I and my friend planned to visit Lesbos Island in the first week of September with our current visas. Our initial plan was to depart from Istanbul by bus at night and arrive in Ayvalık in the morning because the ferry that would take us to Lesbos Island would depart at 9:30 in the morning.

We arrived at the Ayvalık bus terminal at around 05:30 in the morning. Since public transportation hours had not yet started at the terminal and there were no taxi, we had to walk a 45-minute walk to Ayvalık Port. We started walking towards Ayvalık center on deserted roads at twilight. Frankly, we were a little worried as we walked because the location of the bus station was far from Ayvalık center and in an undeveloped urban area. We reached Ayvalık center in 35 minutes by walking a little faster. The sun had not yet risen. We had tea, ate something and rested at a cafe. We took care of things like ferry tickets, limav tax etc. and immediately got in line in front of the Ayvalık Sea Border Gate because the line was getting longer. The passengers of the tour companies close to Ayvalık Port had also started to arrive.

After passing passport control, we sat for a while in front of Ayvalık Port. Then we got on the catamaran that would take us to Lesbos Island and started waiting for the departure time. See you in the next post of my Lesbos Island tour. All the photos in this post belong to me. Thank you for reading.

I didn't use worldmappin code in this post and I left your community yesterday as I was exposed to injustice, arbitrary and anti democratic treatments. None of your moderator can say to us Hiveians

Like it or leave it, we act like that.

We never said that sentence @videoaddiction. If you pin your post to travelfeed it automatically pins to worldmappin, as it's the same code. Please ask travelfeed what you can do to avoid that, as it's their coding. - for our community and curation you are muted, just as you wished.

It was not my wish as I had already been muted. Ask your amateur moderator/s how a travel post series, each posts of which are about different places, can be recycling contents. When I was trying to explain this was wrong,

I was told that this is how you act, like it or go elsewhere

Well, this mentality is unacceptable, injustice and disrespectful. You first have to respect people's efforts here, you are not bigger than HIVE!

Congratulations, your post has been added to the TravelFeed Map! 🎉🥳🌴
